index. Within the chemical industry,<br />

ChemChina ranked first.<br />

New Chemical Material Base, Zhang Gaoli, a member of the CPC Political Bureau<br />

and the Secretary of the Tianjin CPC Committee, arranged a meeting with the<br />

President of ChemChina, Ren Jianxin. Mr. Zhang expressed his support as well as<br />

thanks to ChemChina for building its largest advanced chemical material base<br />

in Tianjin Lingang Industrial Area (TLIA). He expressed hope that the Tianjin<br />

government will make every effort to help construction progress as scheduled.<br />

The Drying Technology and Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center,<br />

sponsored by Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery & Automation, won<br />

the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology to become a National<br />

Engineering and Technology Center.<br />
