Note: 1. Young horses should not be penalized for such things as squealing and shying. The purpose of the test is not to
judge accuracy but to assess the potential of the horse for success at the highest level of the sport.
Note 2: The quality of the riding should not impact the horse’s score.
Note 3: Wherever possible a standard (20m x 60m) arena should be used.
Note 4: Horses may be warmed up inside the dressage arena and may exit to start the test, or start from inside the arena.
