Starting at 8 a.m. each morning and completed by 3:00 p.m. each day. Daily
attendance is required.
St. Croix Central High School Ag Ed Department
Complete a 28-hour class and pass both a written and driving test. This is a
practical hands-on and academic week.
All youth ages 12 & older working on any farm or business other than their
parents. This is a Federal Employment Certificate.
To prevent agriculture accidents from occurring.
To become knowledgeable in operating Ag equipment. If you want to be able to
drive a tractor on the road or for someone besides your parents you need to take
this class. Farm Jobs, Nursery Jobs, anything with a tractor requires this permit.
$30.00 payable on June 18, 2012. This fee covers insurance, books, tractors, fuel,
and facilities. This is payable to: SCC FFA.
The group will eat lunch at the Dairy Queen, Subway or McDonalds. Bring money
for lunch or bring a sack lunch, whichever you prefer.
PERMISSION SLIPS: You MUST have parental permission slips signed and returned on Monday
morning, June 18, to drive tractors. The slips are available on the first day of class.
TRANSPORTATION: You will need to set up transportation to SCC on your own.

IMPORTANT OPEN ENROLLMENT DATES
June 8, 2012 – Nonresident school district must mail notices
of approval or denial. If the application is approved, the
school district must notify the parents of the specific school
or program to which the student is assigned. If the
application is denied, parents have 30 days to file an appeal.
June 15, 2012 – Resident districts must notify applicants if
the application is denied. If the application is denied, parents
have 30 days to file an appeal.
June 29, 2012 – Parents of accepted applicants must notify
the nonresident district if the student will attend the
nonresident district in the 2012-13 school year. If the parent
fails to make this notification, the nonresident district may
refuse to allow the student to attend the district.

The SCC Panther Football Booster Club would like to thank everyone who participated in our 1 st Annual Trap Shoot on May 12 th .
We had a great turn out, and a great time was had by all. We would also like to thank The River Falls Sportsmen’s Club for

Our project for this year’s Earth Day was to spread “the word” to our community. All 2 nd graders took part in decorating
a grocery bag for the Roberts Grocery Store about what was most important to them about Earth Day.

Each fall and spring, students in grades 1- 4 are assessed on
their fitness level with six tests comprising of different
components of physical fitness: cardiovascular endurance,
muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, speed & agility. The focus
of the spring testing is individual improvement. Congratulations to following students who
improved on all six fitness tests.

SCC ATHLETES AND PARENTS! ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 2012-2013
Any student considering participation in a fall sport, grades 6-12, for 2012-2013 must have an updated file in the office
at SCC High School or Middle School before he/she will be allowed to participate. The following items must be turned
in to Mrs. Cress or Mrs. Bohatta prior to the start of Fall sports’ seasons beginning in August or September:
a green physical card or a yellow alternate year card
High School athletes only - a pink (girls) or blue (boys) Main Office form signed by both the parent and students
Attend the Athletic Code meeting August 5 th at SCC High School at 7:00 p.m.
Fall Sports’ dates: HS football and girl’s golf – August 6, HS volleyball and cross country – Aug. 13, MS football –
Aug. 27, and MS cross country & MS volleyball – Sept. 4
Student-athletes will not be allowed to participate in practice or competition until all completed forms are on file. As
well, students must have passing grades from the 4 th quarter and no code violations to participate next fall in
athletics. SCC Athletic Code handbooks are available online or at the high school with details pertaining to grades and
behavior policies for student-athletes. If you have questions, please contact the high school at 715-796-5383.
AN EXCITING, FREE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 9-12 THIS SUMMER!
2012-2013 high school students will have the opportunity to have fun while becoming fit this summer at SCC High
School. Athletic Fundamentals is being offered by the coaching staff to help develop healthier, stronger, and more agile
individuals. We have developed a 5-day a week workout program, just over 1 hour per day with multiple sessions to fit
everyone’s schedule incorporating strength, jumping, stretching, and speed training through drills and different games.
Sessions are 6:00am-7:30, 7:30-9:00, 9:00-10:30, and 6:00pm-7:30. This program will last throughout the summer until
Fall sports begin, excluding the week of July 4 th . Individuals wanting to participate should come to the High School
ready to workout starting June 11 th . Don’t hesitate to speak with any of our coaches if you have any questions about
what type of training will be used. Our coaching staff is committed to providing every opportunity for development of
healthy habits for our students; don’t miss out on this chance to have fun with fellow classmates! No cost; just a
commitment of your time and effort to improve yourself and your team over the summer. Come whenever you can!

SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONALS
Openings are available for substitute paraprofessionals, with a preference for those
holding or willing to obtain a Special Education Paraprofessional License, 883. These
individuals will be responsible for working with Special Education students in the
classroom. Interested applicants can call one of the schools or print off the substitute
support staff packet on the SCC website (www.scc.k12.wi.us) and return it to any
school office.
