practical hands-on and academic week.<br />
All youth ages 12 & older working on any farm or business other than their<br />
parents. This is a Federal Employment Certificate.<br />
To prevent agriculture accidents from occurring.<br />
To become knowledgeable in operating Ag equipment. If you want to be able to<br />
drive a tractor on the road or for someone besides your parents you need to take<br />
this class. Farm Jobs, Nursery Jobs, anything with a tractor requires this permit.<br />
$30.00 payable on June 18, <strong>2012</strong>. This fee covers insurance, books, tractors, fuel,<br />
and facilities. This is payable to: SCC FFA.<br />
The group will eat lunch at the Dairy Queen, Subway or McDonalds. Bring money<br />
for lunch or bring a sack lunch, whichever you prefer.<br />
PERMISSION SLIPS: You MUST have parental permission slips signed and returned on Monday<br />
morning, June 18, to drive tractors. The slips are available on the first day of class.<br />
TRANSPORTATION: You will need to set up transportation to SCC on your own.<br />

IMPORTANT OPEN ENROLLMENT DATES<br />
June 8, <strong>2012</strong> – Nonresident school district must mail notices<br />
of approval or denial. If the application is approved, the<br />
school district must notify the parents of the specific school<br />
or program to which the student is assigned. If the<br />
application is denied, parents have 30 days to file an appeal.<br />
June 15, <strong>2012</strong> – Resident districts must notify applicants if<br />
the application is denied. If the application is denied, parents<br />
have 30 days to file an appeal.<br />
June 29, <strong>2012</strong> – Parents of accepted applicants must notify<br />
the nonresident district if the student will attend the<br />
nonresident district in the <strong>2012</strong>-13 school year. If the parent<br />
fails to make this notification, the nonresident district may<br />
refuse to allow the student to attend the district.<br />

Our project for this year’s Earth Day was to spread “the word” to our community. All 2 nd graders took part in decorating<br />

Each fall and spring, students in grades 1- 4 are assessed on<br />
their fitness level with six tests comprising of different<br />
components of physical fitness: cardiovascular endurance,<br />
muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, speed & agility. The focus<br />
of the spring testing is individual improvement. Congratulations to following students who<br />

SCC ATHLETES AND PARENTS! ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR <strong>2012</strong>-2013<br />
Any student considering participation in a fall sport, grades 6-12, for <strong>2012</strong>-2013 must have an updated file in the office<br />
at SCC High School or Middle School before he/she will be allowed to participate. The following items must be turned<br />
in to Mrs. Cress or Mrs. Bohatta prior to the start of Fall sports’ seasons beginning in August or September:<br />
a green physical card or a yellow alternate year card<br />
High School athletes only - a pink (girls) or blue (boys) Main Office form signed by both the parent and students<br />
Attend the Athletic Code meeting August 5 th at SCC High School at 7:00 p.m.<br />
Fall Sports’ dates: HS football and girl’s golf – August 6, HS volleyball and cross country – Aug. 13, MS football –<br />
Aug. 27, and MS cross country & MS volleyball – Sept. 4<br />
<strong>St</strong>udent-athletes will not be allowed to participate in practice or competition until all completed forms are on file. As<br />
well, students must have passing grades from the 4 th quarter and no code violations to participate next fall in<br />
athletics. SCC Athletic Code handbooks are available online or at the high school with details pertaining to grades and<br />

AN EXCITING, FREE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 9-12 THIS SUMMER!<br />
<strong>2012</strong>-2013 high school students will have the opportunity to have fun while becoming fit this summer at SCC High<br />
School. Athletic Fundamentals is being offered by the coaching staff to help develop healthier, stronger, and more agile<br />
individuals. We have developed a 5-day a week workout program, just over 1 hour per day with multiple sessions to fit<br />
everyone’s schedule incorporating strength, jumping, stretching, and speed training through drills and different games.<br />
Sessions are 6:00am-7:30, 7:30-9:00, 9:00-10:30, and 6:00pm-7:30. This program will last throughout the summer until<br />
Fall sports begin, excluding the week of July 4 th . Individuals wanting to participate should come to the High School<br />
ready to workout starting June 11 th . Don’t hesitate to speak with any of our coaches if you have any questions about<br />
what type of training will be used. Our coaching staff is committed to providing every opportunity for development of<br />
healthy habits for our students; don’t miss out on this chance to have fun with fellow classmates! No cost; just a<br />
commitment of your time and effort to improve yourself and your team over the summer. Come whenever you can!<br />

SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONALS<br />
Openings are available for substitute paraprofessionals, with a preference for those<br />
holding or willing to obtain a Special Education Paraprofessional License, 883. These<br />
individuals will be responsible for working with Special Education students in the<br />
classroom. Interested applicants can call one of the schools or print off the substitute<br />
support staff packet on the SCC website (www.scc.k12.wi.us) and return it to any<br />
school office.
