Instructors Applaud and Support the<br />
NCCA Accreditation Project.<br />
We call our community for involvement and financial help!<br />
At the <strong>2009</strong> HTP Conference in Denver, <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong> Program officially announced that<br />
we are pursuing NCCA accreditation. The response from the conference participants was<br />
overwhelmingly supportive and enthusiastic. The magnitude of what achieving accreditation<br />
will mean for the <strong>Energy</strong> Medicine field, and <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong> Program specifically, was<br />
recognized immediately.<br />
Accreditation will expand the opportunities for <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong> Practitioners everywhere and will move the<br />
Program and Practice to an entirely new level of professionalism, aligned more closely with health care.<br />
Instructors, practitioners, and students showed their support by offering to volunteer their professional<br />
skills. When they learned that the cost of pursuing accreditation is upwards of $30,000, they generously<br />
offered donations to support making this goal a reality as quickly as possible. Over $3,000 was donated<br />
during the conference alone!<br />
We would like to thank those of you who have already stepped forward to assist us and encourage the<br />
rest of you to consider helping us with this project! The impact of <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong> becoming accredited<br />
through NCCA, which is aligned directly with the health care field, will positively affect your <strong>Healing</strong><br />
<strong>Touch</strong> practice, as well as help us achieve our vision of bringing <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong> to the world.<br />
This major step into the mainstream medical community through accreditation can lead to insurance<br />
codes directly related to <strong>Healing</strong> <strong>Touch</strong>, better exposure for our program, students and practitioners, and<br />
more direct employment opportunities in health care. As well, HTP will become the first energy medicine<br />
discipline to achieve this!<br />
