<strong>Welcome</strong> to spiritual life at <strong>Bridgewater</strong> <strong>College</strong>. As a church-affiliated liberal arts<br />
college, <strong>Bridgewater</strong> seeks to maintain a distinctively Christian atmosphere while<br />
welcoming students of all religious traditions and faith perspectives. As a learning<br />
community with Christian values, <strong>Bridgewater</strong> encourages each individual to<br />
develop a personal faith and to find a meaningful place in the world.<br />
Founded by and affiliated with the Church of the Brethren, <strong>Bridgewater</strong> is a nonsectarian<br />
institution that affirms Brethren values of community, service, and no<br />
force in religion. At <strong>Bridgewater</strong>, ethical and spiritual awareness is not imposed but<br />
encouraged as an integral dimension of the whole person.<br />
Recognizing that everyone is at a different place on the spiritual journey,<br />
<strong>Bridgewater</strong> doesn't assume a "one size fits all" approach to the faith development<br />
of our students. Rather, we provide a rich variety of resources and activities that<br />
enable students to explore, develop, and express their faith in ways that fit who<br />
and where they are on that journey.<br />
From weekly BC Chapel services and Spiritual <strong>Life</strong> Groups to Student Peer<br />
Ministers and Deputation Teams, <strong>Bridgewater</strong> seeks to be an academic community<br />
where students develop spiritually as well as intellectually, socially, and emotionally<br />
