NEWSLETTER 09/2011 November 2 – 4, 2011, Exhibition CentrE Frankfurt / Main UAV world 5 th international conference UAV-World and theme park UAV World as an international meeting place for the UAV industry becoming more important AIRTEC 2011 presents the 5 th international UAV World, an international platform for unmanned aerial systems. With such conference and the theme park UAV World AIRTEC creates an international and specialised meeting place for the UAV industry in central Germany. The UAV World exhibition provides a comprehensive insight in the technologies of UAS’. Among the exhibitors are all key suppliers of OEM such as Israel Aircraft Industries and others. At the UAV World Conference, which this year takes place under the theme “UAS Technologies and Missions”, current and future developments are presented and further discussed by renowned national and international experts. The three-day conference, held in English covers all current issues of the UAV industry. This includes technology is-sues such as energy supply, micro structures, sensor systems as well as “Senseand-Avoid” technology. In addition, the conference focuses on operational aspects and requirements for civilian and military missions, such as data storage or the combined use of unmanned helicopters. Moreover, the conference emphasises on how unmanned flight systems may be incorporated into the civil aviation. Chairman of the conference is once again Professor Dr.-Ing. Peter Vörsmann of the Technical University (TU) Braunschweig. The UAV conference experiences this year a further increase of international attention and presents lectures from 13 nations. Significant lectures are held by, among others, AAI (USA), Alenia Aeronautica (Italy), Boeing (Spain), Elbit (Israel), DLR (Germany), ESG Elektroniksystem and Logistik (Germany), Federal Police Department of Brazil, General Atomics (USA), IAI (Israel), Northrop Grumman International (Belgium) and UAV Dach (Germany).
