The objective of the Project is to provide for electronic d<strong>at</strong>a exchange amongst the<br />
individual Skoda Auto plants. Project SKODETTE supports current <strong>EDI</strong> processes<br />
and aims to do away with paper documents as much as possible. <strong>EDI</strong> links form the<br />
base of effective cooper<strong>at</strong>ion amongst suppliers, carriers, and customers.<br />

This document describes the process of productive m<strong>at</strong>erial deliveries and use of<br />
standard <strong>EDI</strong> messages between <strong>SKODA</strong> and its suppliers.<br />
Like other VW plants, <strong>SKODA</strong> communic<strong>at</strong>es in VDA, ODETTE, and <strong>EDI</strong>FACT<br />
form<strong>at</strong>s.<br />
<strong>1.</strong>2. <strong>SKODA</strong> Specifics<br />
<strong>EDI</strong> delivery notes are gener<strong>at</strong>ed as files bearing their own name and there are other<br />
specifics to be considered in connection with deliveries to the Skoda Auto plant.<br />
<strong>SKODA</strong> uses the VW Group system in IVZ, Wolfsburg, as the host system for<br />
acceptance of delivery notes. Suppliers to <strong>SKODA</strong> currently mailing delivery notes in<br />
the 4913/AVIEXP/DESADV form<strong>at</strong> to VW should contact the relevant workers of<br />
competence <strong>at</strong> Skoda in order to set up an <strong>EDI</strong> connection jointly. Once the<br />
necessary authoriz<strong>at</strong>ion is entered, d<strong>at</strong>a can be oper<strong>at</strong>ively forwarded Skoda. It is, of<br />
course, essential first to get a supplier-specific number from <strong>SKODA</strong>.<br />
