The Year 8 Team of Helena Chen, Isabella Lau and Rebecca MacDonell was placed 2nd equal in the<br />
Intermediate Competition with a score of 94/100. Tahuna Intermediate Team 1 was 1st with a score<br />
of 97/100 and the Tahuna 2 Team came 2nd equal with our girls.<br />
In the Years 9 and 10 Competition our Year 9 team of Maxine Bainbridge, Selena Ballantyne and Alice<br />
Jones came 3rd (90/100) after John McGlashan <strong>College</strong> (95/100) and King’s High School (91/100).<br />
Good results and well done to the girls in the teams.<br />

It was very pleasing to see three <strong>Columba</strong> <strong>College</strong> students featuring as prize-winners in the 2012<br />
competition. They were: Holly Hanson, Julia Isoyama and Kim Schultz, Year 11.<br />
Other schools with prize-winners were Lincoln High School, St. Margaret’s <strong>College</strong> (Christchurch) and<br />
ACG Strathallan <strong>College</strong> (Auckland).<br />

Meng Li in Year 12 has been awarded a Top 100 Certificate in this<br />
very challenging competition.<br />
This placed Meng Li second in Otago after a student at Bayfield<br />
High School who was among the group of ten finalists for 5th place<br />
nationally. Congratulations to Meng Li on her fine result.<br />
