• THE SCANDURA’S SIT PRESSURE
LABORATORY
Since January 1999. The Metrological Laboratory of
Dott. Ing. Scandura & FEM S.r.l. is operating as
SIT centre (Servizio Italiano di Taratura / Italian
(National) Calibration Service. This accreditation
covers the branch of our Lab enabled to release the
Calibration Certificates for Pressure Instruments such
as: Manometers, Pressure Transducers, Columns,
Digital Pressure Indicators, Pressure Calibrators etc.
This means that an instrument calibrated at a SIT
centre becomes part of an uninterrupted metrological
chains headed by a National Standard. These
calibration operations are performed according to
procedures constantly monitored and documented by
the Quality Assurance System of the Centre and
executed within Laboratories in which the
environmental conditions are permanently under strict
control.
First, for the high trustworthiness of the operation,
due to the recognized skills of their personnel. Then
for the perfect maintenance of both the primary and
the secondary line of equipment in use. But, most of
all, for the commonly accepted procedures for the
calibration of the instruments, which are verified and
validated by a third independent party. Not to forget
the support given by SIT centres in obeying the point
7.6 of ISO 9001:2000 Standards to the companies
being awarded with the ISO certificate.
