NIP-BSA (Bovine Serum Albumin)
PRODUCT INFORMATION SHEET
Base Catalog No.: N-5040
4-Hydroxy-3-iodo-5-nitrophenylacetyl hapten is conjugated to BSA protein through lysine by amide bonds.
Properties
Chemical Name: 4-Hydroxy-3-iodo-5-nitrophenylacetyl bovine serum albumin
Appearance: yellow powder
Absorption Maximum (Lambda Max): 430 nm
Extinction Coefficient at Lambda max: 5000/M/cm
Product Usage
Conjugation is determined at pH 8.5 by measuring NIP absorbance at 430nm, using the extinction coefficient of NIP= 5.0 x 10E+03.
The conjugation ratio is given as a molar ratio of NIP to BSA assuming the molecular weight of BSA is 60,000.
Store solution in aliquots at -20°C. Protect from light.
This product can be dissolved in PBS buffer, water or other neutral buffers at a concentration of 1mg/mL. When using PBS please refer
