BOUDOIR PRESTIGE
Dubai – September 2012
The first edition of Boudoir Prestige took place at The Park Hyatt, Dubai on the 17 th &
18 th September 2012.
There were 29 international suppliers of high end interior products present at the
event. Their product included: tableware, cutlery, porcelain, glass and crystal; furniture and
furnishings, textiles and fabrics, lighting and accessories; wall coverings; flooring, carpet
and tiles; doors and hardware; bed linen and outdoor furniture.
39 buyers were present, from the Middle East, India and North Africa, with a combined
confirmed project budget of 16M€ to spend over the next 12-18 months
Business:
During Boudoir Prestige 2012, the meetings ran back to back, from 9:30AM to 6:30PM,
with an hour for lunch in the middle. Between them, the 29 suppliers had over 400
meetings with buyers they had requested to meet and who had expressed an interest in
meeting with them.
The buyers came from the UAE, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain,
Lebanon, India and, Sri Lanka. They included senior specifiers, designers and
procurement specialists from hospitality operation and management, and the design,
government and retail sectors. They were looking to source products for active
projects ranging from exclusive private villas through to multi-million dollar hotels and
mixed use facilities with multiple hospitality outlets, commercial and residential
components.
Networking:
Because both the buyers and suppliers are hosted together in one venue over the two day
period of the event, there are many opportunities to network and get to know the
other delegates at Boudoir Prestige aside from the formal and regulated 20 minutes
meeting/presentations. Teas and coffees are served all day and lunches, cocktails and
dinners were taken as a group. These meetings were as important amongst the buyer and
supplier groups as they were between buyers and suppliers as this enabled exchange of
experience and trend information as well as straight forward business discussion.

Going forward
The next edition of our event, renamed Projet Prestige, will be held on 27 th &
28 th November 2013 at The Meydan Hotel, Dubai.
At the request of the buyers and suppliers at Boudoir Prestige MENA and India
2012, we will be presenting Projet Prestige Asia in October 2013 at The
Sheraton Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
