A BRIGHTER FUTURE - YMCA of Orange County

Dear YMCA Supporters,
2012 was a great year for the YMCA largely because of caring people like you. The YMCA of
Orange County is able to serve the community through programs that nurture the potential
of every child and teen, improve the nation’s health and well-being and give back by providing
support to our neighbors. Programs partnered with giving, compassionate and loving people
prove to be a successful formula every time.
Below highlights a few of the achievements our organization was able to accomplish thanks
to dedicated volunteers, staff and community support. Our hope and prayer is as the pages
ahead unfold you will celebrate a great year of impact and also be challenged to make a greater
difference in 2013.
In 2012, the YMCA of Orange County is proud to share a few key accomplishments
1. Strong fiscal stewardship to ensure the YMCA of Orange County will be here to serve the
community for many years to come
2. Enhanced program quality resulted in solid program growth serving more than 66,504 of our
neighbors
3. Provided $900,000 in financial assistance to over 2,000 local families in need of life
enriching programs
4. Committed focus on growth to serve more individuals, children and families in Orange County
resulted in a new health and wellness center in Huntington Beach
5. Proudly celebrated 125 years of changing lives in Orange County
It is with excitement that 2013 has begun with our Board of Directors committing resources to
hire a full time chaplain that will focus on our strong Christian roots and our efforts to continue
as an organization that cares for our members, staff and local community. We know that when we
work as one, we move people and communities forward.
We truly hope you are able to see the wonderful impact the YMCA of Orange County is making
