In 1973, Don Britton quit his job at the dealership as a Certified Master Technician and went <br />
in business for himself. The main motivation was the lack of future to provide for his family <br />
and the lack of integrity at the dealerships where he had worked at. Don was tired of seeing <br />
customers sold things they did not need and being overcharged for work they did need. That <br />
was 41 years ago. <br />
Over the last 41 years, Don has built the business into a well known and well respected auto <br />
repair facility, specializing in all types of auto repair, scheduled maintenance, preventative <br />
maintenance and especially automatic transmissions on all makes/models of vehicles. East <br />
Ridge Transmission & Total Car Care is a large shop with 9 technicians, 2 service advisors, a <br />
customer service receptionist, a full time bookkeeper, a maintenance technician and two <br />
customer care drivers to pick up and deliver customers and vehicles. And of course Don is <br />
there every day to makes sure everything goes well for everyone, especially the customer. <br />
