A <strong>new</strong> <strong>world</strong> <strong>record</strong>: <strong>the</strong> <strong>world</strong>’s <strong>largest</strong> <strong>photo</strong> <strong>mosaic</strong><br />

<strong>built</strong> <strong>up</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Milan</strong>!<br />

Buongiorno and NABA enter <strong>the</strong> Gu<strong>in</strong>ness World Record with <strong>the</strong> <strong>world</strong>’s <strong>largest</strong> <strong>photo</strong> collage: 20,400<br />

pictures cover<strong>in</strong>g a 141 square meters area, represent<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> smil<strong>in</strong>g logo of BLINKO, Buongiorno’s<br />

consumer brand, that with a smile and <strong>in</strong> a bl<strong>in</strong>k of an eye br<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>in</strong>formation and enterta<strong>in</strong>ment<br />

personalization services to all mobile users.<br />

Today a charity auction will start on eBay.it: some panels of <strong>the</strong> <strong>mosaic</strong> were signed by a number of Italian<br />

celebrities, and <strong>the</strong> proceeds will be handed over to Spazio Prevenzione, a nonprofit organization dedicated<br />

to rais<strong>in</strong>g funds and deliver<strong>in</strong>g s<strong>up</strong>port programs and prevention <strong>in</strong>formation for cancer.<br />

<strong>Milan</strong>, June 8, 2006 – Buongiorno and NABA enter today <strong>the</strong> prestigious Gu<strong>in</strong>ness World Record with <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>world</strong>’s <strong>largest</strong> <strong>photo</strong> collage; <strong>the</strong> size of <strong>the</strong> huge <strong>mosaic</strong> is breathtak<strong>in</strong>g: an area of 15m x 9.40m x 2m,<br />

totall<strong>in</strong>g 141 square meters, covered by 20,400 <strong>in</strong>dividual digital pictures stacked s<strong>in</strong>gularly.<br />

Start<strong>in</strong>g today and for a whole week, it will be possible to buy on a charity auction on eBay (www.ebay.it) <strong>the</strong><br />

most significant panels of <strong>the</strong> <strong>mosaic</strong> signed by some Italian celebrities.<br />

The start<strong>in</strong>g price is 1 Euro, and <strong>the</strong> proceeds will be handed over to Spazio Prevenzione, a nonprofit<br />

organization active <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> field of cancer prevention and early diagnosis.<br />

Buongiorno and NABA, authors of <strong>the</strong> project, and <strong>in</strong> order to break this peculiar <strong>record</strong>, have ga<strong>the</strong>red <strong>the</strong><br />

endless number of pictures sent from all over <strong>the</strong> <strong>world</strong>, and coord<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>the</strong> 700 Naba students to create a<br />

unique <strong>mosaic</strong> represent<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> smil<strong>in</strong>g logo of BLINKO, <strong>the</strong> <strong>new</strong> global Buongiorno brand.<br />

The Bl<strong>in</strong>ko <strong>mosaic</strong> has beaten <strong>the</strong> exist<strong>in</strong>g Gu<strong>in</strong>ness Record, a wall of around 17,000 <strong>photo</strong>s on a 133<br />

square meters area <strong>built</strong> <strong>in</strong> last December 2005.<br />

The Gu<strong>in</strong>ness <strong>record</strong> attempt started <strong>in</strong> September 2005, and for over 8 months, more than 29,000 people<br />

of all ages snapped with <strong>the</strong>ir digital cameras and mobile phones <strong>the</strong> funniest close <strong>up</strong> pictures of<br />

<strong>the</strong>mselves and <strong>the</strong>ir friends, and sent those pictures, which were later used by Naba students, to<br />

www.bl<strong>in</strong>ko.it.<br />

The <strong>in</strong>itiative of <strong>the</strong> <strong>record</strong> co<strong>in</strong>cided with <strong>the</strong> <strong>world</strong> launch of BLINKO, aim<strong>in</strong>g at gett<strong>in</strong>g toge<strong>the</strong>r all consumer<br />

products and services of Buongiorno, <strong>the</strong> mult<strong>in</strong>ational active <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> field of multimedia contents for telephony<br />

and digital channels, <strong>in</strong> an <strong>in</strong>tegrated and global approach. In fact, all mobile personalization services<br />

(r<strong>in</strong>gtones, wallpapers, multimedia games, community chat and much more) provided by Buongiorno are<br />

company, provided its digital <strong>photo</strong>graphy competencies.
