The Fairfax County Public Schools system (FCPS; www.fcps.edu), one of the highestrated
school systems in America, offers many unique programs, including a nationally
recognized Foreign Language Immersion Program, the International Baccalaureate (IB)
Program and Advanced Placement courses. The Washington area’s numerous private

With a temperate climate and 50 square miles (129.5 square kilometers) of public
