• Attendance registers should be <strong>for</strong>warded at least two weeks be<strong>for</strong>e the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g can commence<br />
to ensure that our tra<strong>in</strong>ers can adequately prepare <strong>for</strong> the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g. This advance notice will also<br />
facilitate the send<strong>in</strong>g out of rem<strong>in</strong>ders with dates and times <strong>for</strong> ease of reference.<br />
• The venues did not have <strong>in</strong>ternet and although 3G cards were used <strong>for</strong> demonstration it is not<br />
ideal <strong>for</strong> teachers. Future tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g projects will ensure that sufficient venue hire is quoted to<br />
meet this need.<br />
<strong>SchoolNet</strong> SA has been excited to be <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> this tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and we would be <strong>in</strong>terested to further<br />
assist the KwaZulu Natal Department of Education to implement the <strong>ICT</strong> <strong>Skills</strong> <strong>for</strong> teachers’ course to<br />
teachers that were not <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> this <strong>in</strong>itiative. It will also be possible to provide susta<strong>in</strong>ed tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g to<br />
the teachers that have completed <strong>ICT</strong> <strong>Skills</strong> by implement<strong>in</strong>g our other range of courses. This would<br />
facilitate teachers be<strong>in</strong>g able to complete a learn<strong>in</strong>g pathway that will help them achieve the<br />
competences as stated <strong>in</strong> the national policy guidel<strong>in</strong>e document <strong>for</strong> teacher tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and professional<br />
development <strong>in</strong> <strong>ICT</strong>.<br />
