Essential Requirement<br />

• A good honours degree in <strong>Physical</strong><br />

<strong>Education</strong>.<br />

• A postgraduate teaching qualification in<br />

<strong>Physical</strong> <strong>Education</strong>.<br />

• Experience in teaching <strong>Physical</strong><br />

<strong>Education</strong> at KS3, KS4 and A level.<br />

• Detailed knowledge <strong>of</strong> AQA<br />

Specifications at KS4.<br />

• Awareness <strong>of</strong> NC requirements at KS3.<br />

• Highly skilled classroom practitioner,<br />

able to deliver a variety <strong>of</strong> teaching<br />

strategies.<br />

• A strong enthusiasm for <strong>Physical</strong><br />

<strong>Education</strong>.<br />

• The ability to support pupils with SEN<br />

and G&T.<br />

• Excellent lesson planning.<br />

• Effective behaviour management and<br />

motivation.<br />

• The ability to work easily with colleagues<br />

and to function as part <strong>of</strong> a team.<br />

• The ability to teach both female and<br />

male PE and games.<br />

• A readiness to become fully involved in<br />

the life <strong>of</strong> the whole 3‐18 school, sharing<br />

• The ability to coach our school sports,<br />

including netball, hockey and football, to<br />

a high standard.<br />

• With support, take charge <strong>of</strong> organising<br />

one <strong>of</strong> our school sports fixtures.<br />
