• A good honours degree in Physical
Education.
• A postgraduate teaching qualification in
Physical Education.
• Experience in teaching Physical
Education at KS3, KS4 and A level.
• Detailed knowledge of AQA
Specifications at KS4.
• Awareness of NC requirements at KS3.
• Highly skilled classroom practitioner,
able to deliver a variety of teaching
strategies.
• A strong enthusiasm for Physical
Education.
• The ability to support pupils with SEN
and G&T.
• Excellent lesson planning.
• Effective behaviour management and
motivation.
• The ability to work easily with colleagues
and to function as part of a team.
• The ability to teach both female and
male PE and games.
• A readiness to become fully involved in
the life of the whole 3‐18 school, sharing
the values of the school and United
Learning.
• Well organised and willingness to
organise extra‐curricular activities both
in and outside of the departments.
