General Information<br />
<strong>Aurora</strong> <strong>Bearing</strong> Company's reputation for designing and<br />
producing high quality commercial rod ends and spherical<br />
bearings has grown extensively since the inception of the<br />
organization. <strong>Aurora</strong> <strong>Bearing</strong> has rapidly expanded its various<br />
product lines and now serves virtually every major industrial<br />
market.<br />
In all of these markets, <strong>Aurora</strong> <strong>Bearing</strong> has consistently<br />
demonstrated its reputation for furnishing a reliable product. As<br />
a result, more and more firms sought help from our engineers<br />
and manufacturing specialists to solve difficult applications<br />
problems in high performance equipment. For example, <strong>Aurora</strong><br />
<strong>Bearing</strong> was a pioneer in developing a special line of rod ends for<br />
the high temperature turbine engine industry.<br />
Because of the special skills developed by our engineering and<br />
manufacturing personnel in the commercial bearing markets, our<br />
recognized expertise attracted the attention of the military<br />
specification bearing market, which includes the<br />
aircraft/aerospace industry. Frequently, our engineers have been<br />
called upon to develop custom-designed units for sophisticated<br />
aerospace applications. In some instances, our standard<br />
commercial series of commercial rod ends and spherical<br />
bearings were more than adequate for aircraft/aerospace usage.<br />
Consequently, <strong>Aurora</strong> <strong>Bearing</strong> Company decided to aggressively<br />
enter the military specification bearing marketplace. We now<br />
offer six standard lines that are presented in the following pages.<br />
Please note that the bearings listed utilize AT 3200, <strong>Aurora</strong>'s<br />
exclusive PTFE bearing liner fully qualified to SAE-AS81820<br />
(formerly MIL-B-81820). The bearings are manufactured to<br />
conform to the dimensions, materials and configurations of the<br />
appropriate individual military bearing specification. They are<br />
fully qualified and approved for procurement under these<br />
specifications. In addition, <strong>Aurora</strong> also has two standard lines of<br />
