where does the money come from
for NSPCC Northern Ireland
As a voluntary organisation the NSPCC is dependent on public donations and volunteer
fundraising for over 80 per cent of its income. These vital funds are raised through:
• Local supporters
Over 200 supporters are involved in NSPCC fundraising groups throughout
Northern Ireland. They raise vital funds for children and young people by
organising a wide variety of events including coffee mornings, golf tournaments,
family fun days, concerts, cookery demonstrations and Christmas craft fairs.
Support also comes from many other individuals and organisations getting
involved in large events such as the Belfast City Marathon, NSPCC Polo Classic
and the Letter from Santa appeal.
Corporate support
Our corporate partners play a vital role in supporting our work with vulnerable
children. We work in partnership with companies to raise funds in a variety of
ways, such as employee fundraising, payroll giving, sponsorship, corporate
giving, cause-related marketing schemes and gifts in-kind.
Individual donations
The NSPCC receives many generous donations from individuals who want to play
their part in helping to end cruelty to children.
Legacies
Leaving a gift to the NSPCC through your will is an incredible way to make a
difference to the lives of children and young people.
Celebrate and give
In lieu of gifts many people make donations to the NSPCC on special occasions
such as birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.
Tribute Fund
This fund is named after someone who has died – a tribute to a life that has been
lost. Family and friends can contribute to the fund in any way they choose from
donations on special occasions to taking part in fundraising activities. By helping
more children to grow up safely, a Tribute Fund is a truly inspiring and enduring
way to honour the life of someone special.
