Every constant and every variable is a term.<br />

Atomic formulae:<br />

Every predicate symbol of 0-arity is an atomic formula and so is<br />

⊥.<br />

If t 1 , t 2 , · · · , t k are terms and p is a k-ary predicate symbol<br />

(k > 0), then p(t 1 , t 2 , · · · , t k ) is an atomic formula.<br />
