DELUXE SLEEPER CLASS 

Brand new in 2012 is VIA Rail’s Deluxe Sleeper Class on the ‘Canadian’ train 

travelling between Vancouver and Toronto from July to October. This new 

class of service provides a more luxurious experience in rail cars which have 

been entirely reconfigured. Deluxe Sleeper Class bedrooms are 50% more spacious than the 

Sleeper Plus bedrooms, with an abundance of little extras worthy of the most luxurious 

trains in the world. 

Enjoy the personal attention of a dedicated service attendant and turn-down service, all 

day room service for breakfast and morning and afternoon tea as well as priority boarding 

and luggage service. Passengers travelling all the way between Vancouver and Toronto will 

even enjoy a city tour of Winnipeg. With its entirely renovated Park car, VIA Rail will now 

become the only passenger rail service to offer an entirely wheelchair-accessible bedroom 

with private bathroom. 

Deluxe Sleeper Class Private Bedrooms 

These luxurious bedrooms include a very comfortable double bed as well as a single bunk 

bed, allowing 3 passengers to travel together in comfort and style – there’s even a fridge 

for those special occasion drinks. If you’ve had enough of the views outside the window, 

relax on your leather sofa and watch the flat screen TV with closed circuit programming and 

DVD player. The bathroom features a glass door shower, a large mirror, heated floors and a 

shower kit and hair dryer.

The Montreal to Gaspe train makes an overnight journey to the tip of the Gaspe Peninsula, 

travelling along the St Lawrence River, through the Matapedia Valley and then around Chaleur
