YASHADA is a premier institute of the<br />

Government of Maharashtra with over four<br />

decades of experience, and meets the training<br />

and research needs of State and Union<br />

government departments, elected representatives<br />

and NGOs. With various specialized centers and<br />

cells, Yashada imparts training to over 20,000<br />

functionaries each year in every aspect of<br />

governance and development administration.<br />

Dr. Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center<br />

(ACEC) was set up at YASHADA, Pune, in May<br />

2006, under the Schedule Caste Sub Plan<br />

(SCSP) of Department of Social Justice and<br />

Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra.<br />

The center is being funded by Dr. Babasaheb<br />

Ambedkar Research and Training Institute as well<br />

as Minority Commission, Government of<br />

Maharashtra to provide coaching for Civil<br />

Services Examination, to the youth of<br />

Maharashtra especially from the weaker section<br />

of the society. ACEC aims at tapping the talent in<br />

students, encouraging them to appear for Civil<br />

Services Examination and facilitating their<br />

preparation for the UPSC examination.<br />

Objectives of ACEC :<br />

To create awareness among the youth of<br />

Maharashtra, specially from the deprived<br />

sections, about aims and objectives,<br />

procedures and relative advantages of various<br />

competitive examinations particularly Civil<br />

Services Examination.<br />

To inculcate in them the culture of serving the<br />

community and the nation.<br />

To plan and conduct coaching and training<br />

programmes for successful participation in<br />

competitive examination.<br />

To muster support for coaching from eminent<br />

administrators, academicians and professional<br />

experts from management, training and<br />

research institutions.<br />

Keeping in view the entrance examination for<br />

selection of deserving candidates for ACEC, the<br />

Centre For Talent Search and Excellence (CTSE)<br />

was invited to conduct the said examination.<br />

About our Partner - CTSE<br />

Centre For Talent Search and Excellence(CTSE)<br />

was established in 1985 in Nowrosjee Wadia<br />

College, Pune with the objective of inculcating a<br />

competitive spirit amongst the school students.<br />

This lead to the Maharashtra Talent Search<br />

(M.T.S.) project, which aimed at unearthing and<br />

identifying hidden talent in the rural and urban<br />

students in the schools from Maharashtra.<br />

In 2012 this immensely popular MTS examination<br />

was conducted for about 1,07,337 students at 682<br />

centres across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and<br />

Karnataka.<br />

For the last 5 years CTSE has been conducting<br />

the Graduate Excellence Examinations (GEE) in<br />

Maharashtra for undergraduate students of all<br />

disciplines to equip them for various competitive<br />

examinations after graduation.<br />

ELIGIBILITY OF STUDENT<br />

Any graduate from any faculty from a recognized<br />

University (Medical graduates, should have<br />

completed internship)<br />

Age limit 21 to 30 yrs. (gen.), relaxation for SC/<br />

ST 5 yrs and for OBC 3 yrs.<br />

Domicile of Maharashtra<br />

An Ex- ACEC candidate who has availed of the<br />

benefit of Coaching for Prelims or Mains in<br />

YASHADA will NOT be eligible.<br />

Full time candidates will not be allowed to do any<br />

other courses / job simultaneously.<br />

Rs. 325/- (Rupees Three Hundred Twenty Five<br />

only) through Cash or DD drawn from any<br />

Nationalized Bank in favour of “THE<br />

DIRECTOR, CTSE, Pune” payable at Pune.<br />

the reverse (back) side of the DD. Candidates can<br />

check the status of the application form i.e. whether<br />

their applications has been received by the center or<br />

not or has been kept pending for any reason etc. on<br />

HALL TICKET<br />

The candidate should download the Hall Ticket from<br />

our websites after 7.10.2012.<br />

The Government appointed Selection Committee<br />
