THESIS TITLE: The Formation <strong>of</strong> the Waldoboro Moraine<br />
ADVISOR: Brenda Hall<br />
THESIS DESCRIPTION: I studied a series <strong>of</strong> moraines in<br />
the mid-coast region <strong>of</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> to determine their internal<br />
architecture and gain a better idea <strong>of</strong> how they were<br />
formed. A moraine is a linear ridge <strong>of</strong> sand and gravel<br />
formed at the front <strong>of</strong> a glacier.<br />
FUTURE PLANS: I will be attending UW-Madison and<br />
studying for a MS in quaternary geology. I have not plans<br />
beyond that other than returning to Philmont, doing some<br />
sailing, and earning a PhD at some point.
