From the corporate headquarters in Billund, Denmark and divisions in Sweden,
Norway, Greece, CIS, Malaysia, Bahrain and India, The SA Group provides avionics
installation, certification, maintenance, support and training with the main
business platforms being helicopters, corporate aircraft, regional airliners and

The customer base is geographically spread over all of Europe, Africa, CIS, the
Middle and Far East, and as far as possible, all customers are able to enjoy SA’s
worldwide technical services on-site at the customer’s location, available around

The SA History
SA was established in Billund, Denmark in April 1978 and over the years has
expanded into a larger organization – The SA Group, represented in a number of
countries, including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Baltics, CIS, Greece, Bahrain,
Malaysia and India, employing a wide range of specialists within various business
areas.
The main reason for the continuous
growth derives from the fact, that SA
has never strayed from its policy of

practice plus a responsive,
open-minded and professional attitude
in all aspects of the business.

Aircraft Modifications
More than 30 years of experience...
SA holds over 30 years of experience with all kinds of aircraft modifications, from
standard systems up to the most advanced and state-of-the-art technologies
from the future air navigation and communication systems.
The SA Group develops, designs, installs, documents, substantiate and certify
even very extensive and complete “nose to tail” avionics modifications.
At SA we take great pride in our work and ensure:
• that installations are performed in best quality based on all relevant
certification and approval requirements from the involved authorities.

Maintenance & Support
Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul
Based on EASA Part-145 maintenance approval, technical services such as
maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) are a continually expanding part of the
core business of SA. This is partially due to these services becoming more digital,
complicated and expensive to support, leaving MRO in the hands of the equipment
manufacturers and a few larger avionics companies. The latter includes

The traditional avionics and instrument
support is expanding and now also includes
military and air transport platforms,
all in all with support for more
than 10.000 part numbers, making The
SA Group an extremely strong partner
for any MRO requirement.
24 Hour Worldwide Support
In order to provide the optimum customer
service and support, SA’s support system
includes field service support teams, offering
all technical services worldwide on
site at the customer’s location around the
clock. In addition, SA provides the customers
with all the relevant updates and
upgrades needed along the way.

Certification
Certification
Since the founding of SA a number of relevant and required certifications have
been obtained to ensure that all aircraft modifications are performed in accordance
with relevant specifications, documentation and regulations laid down by
customers and relevant authorities.
Based on Part-21J design approval from EASA (DOA), SA has developed and
obtained more than 400 certifications, which enables us to instantly install a wide
variety of systems in a wide range of aircraft types.
We are constantly developing additional certification packages and should be
pleased to support any aircraft avionic or interior upgrade requirement. SA provides
certification as part of a complete turnkey aircraft modification or partial as
required by the specific programs.
In addition to avionics system upgrades, The SA Group is approved for certifying
interior modifications performed by our selected partners.
Furthermore, SA offers documentation & certification packages separately for installation
by another qualified organization with relevant capability and approval.
Also, based on Part-21G production approval from EASA (POA), SA is able to
produce aviation parts and appliances followed by authorized release certificate
(EASA Form 1). Ex. complete installation kits, wire harnesses, brackets etc.

Equipment and Parts Supply
Procurement
Based on close cooperation with all leading avionics manufacturers and a
widespread purchasing network, Scandinavian Avionics offers a wide range of
high quality equipment for the aviation industry. The customer base includes civil
aviation, airliners and aircraft manufacturers.
Sales are channelled to the customer base via two main streams:
• Part of SA installation and/or certification programs
• Direct sales to customers with own installation capability
In addition, SA offers pilot accessories like headsets, portable GPS and other
similar products as sale “over-the-counter”.

Laser Wire Marking
To comply with the latest requirements
for installation of a new system,
SA can assist with laser wire
marking concepts utilizing the market
leading wire marking system.
The wire marking system uses the
latest technology to deliver the most
cost effective laser wire marking on
the market according to standards
required by the authorities or customers
quality systems.
With the capabilities and performance of the system wire marking projects are
performed quickly and cost-effectively.
Training
The training department provides training
for pilots, technicians, mechanics and other
aviation personnel. The courses may cover
operation, flight line, intermediate or depot
maintenance, OJT or combinations as required
by the customer.
Both external and internal training by Scandinavian
Avionics are based on EASA Part-
147 training approval.
Scheduled training is a still increasing requirement from the aviation authorities
and in the future a huge demand for companies with this capability is expected.
SA is open to close cooperation with customers and partners who holds relevant
knowledge and qualifications which may be integrated into SA’s Part-147 platform.

In order to offer professional quality avionics solutions, SA ensures that all technical
activity is performed in accordance with relevant specifications, documentation
and regulations laid down by the customer and the relevant authorities.
The high quality standards and wide capabilities are ensured by means of EASA
Part-21G design approval, EASA Part-21J production approval, Part-145 and
FAA Part-145 maintenance approval as well as EASA Part-147 training approval.
Furthermore AQAP and AS/EN 9100 requirements are considered as background
for modification, repair and other technical activities mainly in the military area in
order to obtain required approvals and ensure the highest external and internal
quality standards.
In order to fulfil the SA policy of being a flexible, competent and reliable source
of products and services, the ISO system is respected for all relevant activities in
order to maximize effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
