Maintenance & SupportMaintenance, Repair & OverhaulTechnical services such as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)are a continually expanding part of the core business of <strong>SA</strong>. This ispartially due to these services becoming more digital, complicatedand expensive to support, leaving MRO in the hands of the equipmentmanufacturers and a few larger avionics companies.The latter includes <strong>SA</strong> who hasthe advantage of being of a significantsize with a structure ofmany worldwide locations.Thetraditional avionics and instrumentsupport is expanding andnow also includes military andair transport platforms, makingThe <strong>SA</strong> Group an extremelystrong partner for any MRO requirement.24 Hour Worldwide SupportIn order to provide the optimum customerservice and support, <strong>SA</strong>’s support systemincludes field service support teams,offering all technical services worldwideon site at the customer’s location aroundthe clock. <strong>SA</strong> provides the customers withall the relevant updates and upgradesneeded along the way.


CertificationCertificationSince the founding of <strong>SA</strong> a number of relevant and required certificationshas been obtained to ensure that all aircraft modifications areperformed in accordance with relevant specifications, documentationand regulations laid down by customers and relevant authorities.Based on the PART-21 DESIGN approval from EA<strong>SA</strong> (DOA), we haveobtained more than 300 certifications, which enable us to instantlyinstall a wide variety of systems in a wide range of aircraft types.In addition to avionics system upgrades The <strong>SA</strong> Group is approved forcertifying interior modifications performed by our selected partners.We are constantly developing additional certification packages andshould be pleased to support any aircraft avionic or interior upgradeyou may require. We can of course provide certifications as part ofa complete turnkey aircraft modification or parts of it as required bythe specific programs.Also, we offer documentation & certification packages separately forinstallation by another qualified organization with relevant capabilityand approval.

Other servicesLaser Wire MarkingTo comply with the latest requirements for installation of a new system,<strong>SA</strong> can assist with laser wire marking concepts utilizing themarket leading wire marking system.The wire marking system usesthe latest technology to deliverthe most cost effective laser wiremarking on the market accordingto standards required by theauthorities or customers qualitysystems.With the capabilities and performanceof the system wiremarking projects are performedquickly and cost-effectively.TrainingThe training department provides training for pilots, technicians, mechanicsand other aviation personnel. The courses may cover operation,flight line, intermediate or depot maintenance, OJT or combinationsas required by the customer.<strong>Scandinavian</strong> <strong>Avionics</strong> A/S has investedheavily in this area in orderto prepare for an EA<strong>SA</strong> Part-147platform for both external and internaltraining. Scheduled training isa still increasing requirement fromthe aviation authorities and in thefuture a huge demand is expectedfor companies with this capability.<strong>SA</strong> is open to close cooperation with customers and partners whoholds relevant knowledge and qualifications which may be integratedinto <strong>SA</strong>’s Part-147 platform.


Quality AssuranceQuality Assurance<strong>Scandinavian</strong> <strong>Avionics</strong> A/S always makes sure that all technical activityis performed in accordance with relevant specifications, documentationand regulations laid down by the customer and the relevant authorities.<strong>SA</strong>’s original <strong>Scandinavian</strong> and German (LBA) civil aviation approvalsare now expanded into full EA<strong>SA</strong> Part-21 Design Approval and Part-145Maintenance Approval, and in October 2007, <strong>SA</strong> received the FAA Part-145 Maintenance Approval.Furthermore AQAP regulations are considered as background for modification,repair and other technical activities mainly in the military areain order to obtain required approvals and ensure the highest externaland internal quality standards.In order to fulfill the <strong>SA</strong> policy of being a flexible, competent and reliablesource of products and services, the ISO system is respected forall relevant activities in order to maximize effectiveness and customersatisfaction.
