Mr. Ditka’s motivational opening remarks were followed
on Friday, September 14 by President of Caterpillar Forest
Products Inc., John Carpenter who presented Caterpillar’s global
economic outlook focusing strongly on China. And on Saturday
morning, September 15, Kevin O’Connor the charismatic host
of This Old House, America’s most watched home improvement
television show, shared his observations on the green building
movement and the green building bust.
The Annual Convention was a great time to catch up with fellow
members, network with customers and learn from keynote
speakers and educational seminars. The educational seminars
topics covered were: Talent Recruitment & Retention Strategies;
Energy Management & Assessment; Design Trends-the Factors
that Move the Market; Wealth Planning for a Lasting Legacy;

China, Germany, Mexico and Singapore.
The 2013 NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase
