FORMERLY CATHOLIC COUNTRY DAY (CCD)
(APS)
APS was founded in 1957 as Catholic Country Day (CCD). In 1962, the school name was changed from Catholic Country Day to Aquinas Preparatory
School. APS serves as an adopted school to KCD with its closure and merger to the former Louisville Country Day in school year 1966-67. The former
APS Browns Lane property was purchased by Louisville Country Day during the merger. LCD, who eventually became Kentucky Country Day, utilized
the former Aquinas property as a “Lower School” campus until the permanent move of KCD to its present Springdale Road campus (1979).
