Former athletes and cheerleaders enjoyed a pre-game reception<br />
with Men’s Basketball Head Coach Pete<br />
Herrmann to get the inside scoop on the games<br />
ahead that day and to learn more about progress<br />
made for the revived basketball program’s<br />
second year.<br />
YHC’s women’s basketball team defeated<br />
Reinhardt University 65-50, and the men’s team<br />
bested Bryan <strong>College</strong> 76-61.<br />
For students, the weekend was a culmination<br />
of week-long contests that included a trivia<br />
game, dance, spirit sign competition, car<br />
decorating challenge and lip sync battle.<br />
The winners of the Homecoming Week<br />
contests and the overall champions<br />
were announced during halftime of the<br />
women’s game. Homecoming Court<br />
was presented and the Homecoming<br />
2011 King and Queen were crowned at<br />
halftime of the men’s game.<br />
Throughout the weekend, school spirit<br />
was contagious for both young and old, and the excitement<br />
surrounding the establishment of a new tradition was palpable.<br />
