Fall Running Program
Grades 1 st -6 th (Fall 2011)

Does your child love to run Are you looking
for a way to burn off some of that excess after
school energy in a safe and positive environment
Cumberland/N.Yarmouth Recreation is again
offering the Fall Running Club Program!
The primary focus of this six week program is
to promote running as a fun, group oriented
activity that is a great way to stay healthy. “Fun
Run Meets” will be scheduled each Wednesday
with other surrounding communities.
Registrations Accepted Beginning Monday,
July 18 th . Limited enrollment.
Note: Assistant Coaches are needed.

Wilson/Twinbrook Recreation Area
Fee: $55 res/$65 non-res
Location Details
Runners will meet at the Wilson school on Mondays
and Fridays; NYMS runners, please take bus to Wilson.
Wilson runners will be dismissed from their classroom
to playground when a coach arrives. Runners will
meet coaches and complete their stretching at Wilson
school; at approx 3:45pm a school bus will transport
runners and coaches to Twinbrook Recreation
area for their practice. Parents, please plan to pick
up youth at Twinbrook at 4:30pm., second parking
lot. The meets are generally on Wednesdays.
Fall Kindergarten Soccer
(Entering K in the fall)
Head Coaches:

Mike Kennedy (GHS Varsity Girls)
Kindergarten Soccer Saturdays are full of fun! We
will work on developing soccer skills including
dribbling, passing, shooting, foot/eye coordination
and the very early stages of “field position.” Program
emphasis will be on fun, exercise and parent/child
interaction. Child must be entering K in the fall .
Players from both the girls and boys varsity
soccer teams will serve as assistant coaches.
Parents are encouraged to participate .
Sat., Sept.10–Oct. 8, Rain date Oct 15 (5 weeks)
Twinbrook Recreation Area, 11:00am–12:00 noon
Fee: $40 res/$50 non-res (Includes end of season
award)

“Kiddie Kickers”
Pre School Soccer Program
(Participants must be age 4 by Aug 1 st )

Kiddie Kickers introduction to soccer created by
“Coach Alan” is a program designed to introduce
children to the game of soccer, the fun way! Children
will learn rules, key words and how to play the
game, as well as participate in skill developing games
throughout the session. Parents get to share in some
great 1 on 1 time with their child and the session
ends with a real game!
