St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea<br />

New Brunswick, Canada<br />

Experience the beautiful town <strong>of</strong> St. Andrew’s-by-the-<br />

Sea in New Brunswick, Canada which represents one<br />

<strong>of</strong> the best preserved examples <strong>of</strong> colonial heritage<br />

in <strong>No</strong>rth America. Travel via motor-coach through<br />

downeast Maine during the foliage season, stopping for<br />

lunch at Helen’s in Machias. After crossing the border<br />

into St. Steven’s, Canada (passports required), enjoy a<br />

tour <strong>of</strong> the renowned Chocolate Museum and visit the<br />

Ganong Chocolate Shop. Overnight accommodations<br />

will be at the famous Fairmont Algonquin. Other<br />

tour highlights include a hotel ghost tour, St. Andrews<br />

guided tour and a visit to Kingsbrae Garden with<br />

dinner included. We will also stop and explore beautiful<br />

Campbello Island on our journey home. This trip is<br />

co-sponsored with <strong>Yarmouth</strong>, Gorham, Falmouth and<br />

Freeport. A $100 deposit is due at registrations with<br />

Arundel Barn Playhouse<br />

This jazzy new musical revue is a tribute to the man<br />

Sinatra called “the greatest singer in the world,” Tony<br />

Bennett. The unforgettable score includes forty classic<br />

tunes from “The Best is Yet to Come” to “I Left My<br />

Heart in San Francisco.”<br />

Lifeguard Training Class<br />

Instructor: Suzanne Martelle<br />

Requirements:<br />

Participants must be 15 years <strong>of</strong> age on or<br />

before the last scheduled day <strong>of</strong> this class<br />

Participant must successfully complete the precourse<br />

swim: Swim 300 yards continuously,<br />

100 yards <strong>of</strong> front crawl, 100 yards <strong>of</strong> breast<br />

stroke and100 yards <strong>of</strong> front crawl or breast<br />

stroke; Participants must be able to swim 20<br />

yards <strong>of</strong> front crawl or breast stroke, surface dive<br />

7 feet and retrieve a 10 lb. brick and swim 20<br />

yards back to your starting point with the brick<br />

and exit the water in 1 minute and 40 seconds.<br />
