Reference norms
SPECIAL - S
This version was designed and realised especially for loaders and produced in the 20
and 24 inch sizes. It is constructed using compounding, which is particularly resistant
to lacerations. The tyre distinguishes itself for its resistance to wear and tear, jolts, cuts
and abrasions; furthermore, for its elevated rigidity which provides stability to the
vehicle and therefore, to the load. Used for vehicles which carry loads, usually in
environments with extreme conditions such as scrap yards and dumps.
NON MARKING - NM
This is a yellow coloured tyre, designed not to leave dark marks on the ground surface.
It is constructed with a yellow mixture, containing no dark substances, and maintains
all of the other physical and mechanical characteristics of the standard black tyre.
Under every aspect, the non marking Super-elastic and Cushion tyres’ qualities are the
same as those of a standard version. It’s use is desirable in environments where
cleanliness is of great importance; for example in the pharmaceutical, food and
beverage, and electronic industries, or anywhere light coloured floors must stay clean.
HIGH CAPACITY - HL
This is a tyre designed with a highly rigid structure in comparison to standard tyres. It
is constructed with extremely hard mixtures which are able to maintain an excellent
level of all of the other physical and mechanical characteristics. The distinguishing
feature of Super-elastic and Cushion tyres is the ability to sustain elevated capacities
with minimal deformation under extreme loads. It is widely used in situations where the
fundamental importance is maintaining the stability of the vehicle, and therefore, of the
load. It is also utilised in other specific cases. It is suggested that a Marangoni
technician be contacted for consultation before selecting this version for use.
ANTISTATIC - AS
This tyre was designed to release the static electricity accumulated by the vehicle into
the ground. It is constructed with special additives which perform this action while
maintaining an excellent level of all of the other physical and mechanical characteristics.
It is typically used in paint and solvent factories, in gas tank deposits, in environments
where fine dust particles are easily flammable or in environments where the
accumulation of static electricity can cause explosions. In all of these cases, the use of
this tyre increases the levels of safety. The AS Super-elastic and Cushion tyres are in
conformance with the ISO/DIS 2883 standards. A certificate of conformity shall be
provided upon customers’ request.
SUPER-ELASTIC TYRES
• Produced by a known company whose standards of quality are certified by ISO 9001:2000
• In conformance with E.T.R.T.O and DIN 7852 regarding load, size and speed capacities in conformance
with ISO/DIS 2883, if anti-static
• Correctly installed on standard rims and hubs whose ideal sizes are prescribed by E.T.R.T.O.

GENERAL
The Marangoni RING-PROTECTOR profile is suitable only for
Marangoni Super-elastic tyres - Eltor 3 and Eltor 5.
Marangoni RING-PROTECTORS are not compressible.
Marangoni RING-PROTECTORS must have a very strongly defined
thickness, which depends on the distance between the twin Superelastic
tyres.
How to define the thickness of the RING-PROTECTORS
Please refer to the below tables and following drawing to define the
thickness of the RING-PROTECTORS.

ASSEMBLY ADVICE
The assembly is possible only if the RING-PROTECTOR’s thickness is
correct; if the thickness is too great the rims can not be completely
closed; insufficent thickness doesen’t allow the locking of the RING-
PROTECTOR.
The needed compression of the RING-PROTECTOR is very low
(approximately 2 mm).
There is no need of special tools.
The normal fixing bolts of the rims are long enough to shut the RING-
PROTECTOR in its seat between the two Super-elastic tyres.
The RING PROTECTOR has to be kept integral with one of the Superelastic
trough mastic, adhesive tape or similar: it has to maintain its position
in order to allow the correct positioning and fixing of the second tyre.

FITTING AND REMOVAL
PRESS FOR SUPER-ELASTIC
AND CUSHION TYRES
This press is able to perform fitting
and removal operations of all sizes
of super-elastic tyres (with exception of
14.00-24). The machine’s fundamental
characteristics are: reability, speed,
power and precision.
The press is composed of a
carpentered structure, an adjustable
lower work platform with area of
200 mm and an upper moveable
platform with 600 mm of usable
course. The movement’s action is
oil-pressure, which is manually
controlled. The press does not
require a foundation.
The press comes complete with CE
certification, an istruction Booklet
for the operations of fitting and
removal as well as Use and
Maintenance Booklet.
The equipment necessary for fitting
and removal of the super-elastic
and cushion tyres are sold
separately upon request.
