TIMES: 21.1km - 07:00; 10km - 07:30; 5km - 08:30<br />

Route: • 21.1km - Mouille Point, V&A Waterfront, Somerset Road,<br />

Sea Point, Beach Road, Kloof Road, Camps Bay,<br />

Clifton, Sea Point Promenade<br />

• 10km - Mouille Point, V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade<br />

• 5km - Mouille Point - Green Point Park, Sea Point Promenade<br />

Finish: Sea Point Promenade<br />

CUT OFF: 10:00 for all distances<br />

• Prize Giving - 10:30 where category winners will receive their prizes followed by<br />

the lucky draw.<br />

• Half Marathon and 10km race entries must be received by Friday 28 September<br />

2012. No late entries will be accepted.<br />

• 5km entries will be taken on the day<br />

• Tog bag facility provided at owner’s risk<br />

NUMBER COLLECTION TAKES PLACE ON:<br />

• Friday 12 October: 12h00 - 17h00<br />

• Saturday 13 October: 10h00 - 17h00<br />

UPGRADES/DOWNGRADES & SUBSTITUTIONS:<br />

These are allowed but only leading up to race day and at the number collection<br />

venues at a cost of R20.<br />

NB: NO NUMBER COLLECTION, UPGRADES/ DOWNGRADES OR<br />

SUBSTITUTIONS ON RACE DAY.<br />

Once you have entered you must collect your number at one of the following<br />

number collection venues:<br />

• Sportsmans Warehouse, Rondebosch<br />

• Sportsmans Warehouse, Tygervalley<br />

• Sportsmans Warehouse, Canal Walk<br />

• Sportsmans Warehouse, Somerset Mall<br />

• Hamiltons Rugby Club, Green Point<br />

Please indicate CLEARLY on your entry form where you will be collecting<br />

your number.<br />

You will collect the following: Race Number, Temporary Licence (if applicable),<br />

T-Shirt (if ordered) and RaceTec Chip (if purchased).<br />

HOW TO ENTER<br />

Complete this entry form and post, fax or scan and e-mail it to the listed numbers.<br />

Please ensure all details are filled in correctly and that you have remembered to sign the<br />

indemnity and include your payment. Please attach your deposit slip to the entry form.<br />

Once your entry has been processed, you will be emailed an acceptance of entry<br />

which must be brought with you to number collection. Closer to registration you will<br />

receive an SMS confirming your race number and registration venue. Entries must be<br />

received by Friday 28 September. If you entered just before closing date and have<br />

not received your acceptance email, please bring your original documents with you<br />

to number collection. For updates visit the official website.<br />

* EACH RACE DISTANCE HAS A DIFFERENT BIB NUMBER RANGE AND COLOUR with<br />

your data captured on computer. DO NOT GIVE YOUR RACE NUMBER or<br />

lend your chip TO ANYONE ELSE OR TRANSFER BETWEEN RACES WITHOUT<br />

NOTIFYING TOP EVENTS FOR the DATABASE TO BE UPDATED. Failure to do<br />

this WILL lead to INCORRECT results AND disqualification.<br />

Rules<br />

THESE RULES APPLY TO THE 21.1KM<br />

AND 10KM RACES<br />

• The official race number must be worn<br />

unaltered on the front of the participant’s vest.<br />

• The races are run according to the rules of<br />

WPA and ASA.<br />

• Licensed runners must wear club colours<br />

and their 2012 licence number on the back of<br />

their vests. They must be a member of a club<br />

affiliated to ASA.<br />

• Unlicensed runners must wear a temporary<br />

licence number on the back of their vests. It<br />

will be included in their race package.<br />

• Entrants for the Half Marathon must be at<br />

least 16 years of age on race day.<br />

• Entrants for the 10km race must be at least 15<br />

years of age on race day.<br />

• Personal seconding is not allowed.<br />

• Water and Coke tables will be situated<br />

approximately every 3km along race route.<br />

• In addition to open prizes, participants will<br />

only be eligible for an age category prize in<br />

the age category they enter.<br />

• Corresponding numerical age category<br />

tags must be worn on the front and back<br />

of the vest to be eligible for category prizes.<br />

• Participants may enter the age category<br />

corresponding to their chronological age or<br />

any younger category down to senior.<br />

• Temporary licensed participants are eligible<br />

for age category prizes provided they enter<br />

the relevant age group, wear the appropriate<br />

age tag and provide proof of age.<br />

• Juniors (born 1993 to 1996 for 21,1km or born<br />

1993 to 1997 for 10km) must display “J” tags<br />

to qualify for age group prizes. Juniors will<br />

count towards the Senior team prizes.<br />

• Club colours must be worn to qualify for<br />

team prizes.<br />

• Participants will qualify for age category team<br />

prizes based on the individual age category<br />

they enter (with corresponding age category<br />

tags). Older participants qualify for a younger<br />

team only if there is no team competition for<br />

their specific age category.<br />

• Age category tags may be purchased at<br />

number collection.<br />
