TIMES: 21.1km - 07:00; 10km - 07:30; 5km - 08:30
Route: • 21.1km - Mouille Point, V&A Waterfront, Somerset Road,
Sea Point, Beach Road, Kloof Road, Camps Bay,
Clifton, Sea Point Promenade
• 10km - Mouille Point, V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade
• 5km - Mouille Point - Green Point Park, Sea Point Promenade
Finish: Sea Point Promenade
CUT OFF: 10:00 for all distances
• Prize Giving - 10:30 where category winners will receive their prizes followed by
the lucky draw.
• Half Marathon and 10km race entries must be received by Friday 28 September
2012. No late entries will be accepted.
• 5km entries will be taken on the day
• Tog bag facility provided at owner’s risk

NUMBER COLLECTION TAKES PLACE ON:
• Friday 12 October: 12h00 - 17h00
• Saturday 13 October: 10h00 - 17h00
UPGRADES/DOWNGRADES & SUBSTITUTIONS:
These are allowed but only leading up to race day and at the number collection
venues at a cost of R20.
NB: NO NUMBER COLLECTION, UPGRADES/ DOWNGRADES OR
SUBSTITUTIONS ON RACE DAY.
Once you have entered you must collect your number at one of the following
number collection venues:
• Sportsmans Warehouse, Rondebosch
• Sportsmans Warehouse, Tygervalley
• Sportsmans Warehouse, Canal Walk
• Sportsmans Warehouse, Somerset Mall
• Hamiltons Rugby Club, Green Point
Please indicate CLEARLY on your entry form where you will be collecting
your number.
You will collect the following: Race Number, Temporary Licence (if applicable),
T-Shirt (if ordered) and RaceTec Chip (if purchased).
HOW TO ENTER
Complete this entry form and post, fax or scan and e-mail it to the listed numbers.
Please ensure all details are filled in correctly and that you have remembered to sign the
indemnity and include your payment. Please attach your deposit slip to the entry form.
Once your entry has been processed, you will be emailed an acceptance of entry
which must be brought with you to number collection. Closer to registration you will
receive an SMS confirming your race number and registration venue. Entries must be
received by Friday 28 September. If you entered just before closing date and have
not received your acceptance email, please bring your original documents with you

* EACH RACE DISTANCE HAS A DIFFERENT BIB NUMBER RANGE AND COLOUR with
your data captured on computer. DO NOT GIVE YOUR RACE NUMBER or
lend your chip TO ANYONE ELSE OR TRANSFER BETWEEN RACES WITHOUT
NOTIFYING TOP EVENTS FOR the DATABASE TO BE UPDATED. Failure to do
this WILL lead to INCORRECT results AND disqualification.
Rules
THESE RULES APPLY TO THE 21.1KM
AND 10KM RACES
• The official race number must be worn
unaltered on the front of the participant’s vest.
• The races are run according to the rules of
WPA and ASA.
• Licensed runners must wear club colours
and their 2012 licence number on the back of
their vests. They must be a member of a club
affiliated to ASA.
• Unlicensed runners must wear a temporary
licence number on the back of their vests. It
will be included in their race package.
• Entrants for the Half Marathon must be at
least 16 years of age on race day.
• Entrants for the 10km race must be at least 15
years of age on race day.
• Personal seconding is not allowed.
• Water and Coke tables will be situated
approximately every 3km along race route.
• In addition to open prizes, participants will
only be eligible for an age category prize in
the age category they enter.
• Corresponding numerical age category
tags must be worn on the front and back
of the vest to be eligible for category prizes.
• Participants may enter the age category
corresponding to their chronological age or
any younger category down to senior.
• Temporary licensed participants are eligible
for age category prizes provided they enter
the relevant age group, wear the appropriate
age tag and provide proof of age.
• Juniors (born 1993 to 1996 for 21,1km or born
1993 to 1997 for 10km) must display “J” tags
to qualify for age group prizes. Juniors will
count towards the Senior team prizes.
• Club colours must be worn to qualify for
team prizes.
• Participants will qualify for age category team
prizes based on the individual age category
they enter (with corresponding age category
tags). Older participants qualify for a younger
team only if there is no team competition for
their specific age category.
• Age category tags may be purchased at
number collection.
