General
CTC systems are distinguished in two different categories:
The main systems providing the ability of audio or audiovisual connection
between one or more entrances with an unlimited number of apartments.
The intercommunication systems with one or more entrances and the limited number of
Inphones (up to 10) as well as the intercommunication between the different apartments.
Installation Directions
The power supply equipment will have to be installed in dry, easily accessible places.
Suggested height of installation of the internal element (monitor-inphone) is 1,4m from finished floor surface approximately.
The height of the camera should be approximately 1,5m from the finished floor surface.
The cameras should not be turned in the direction of light sources (e.g. Light bulbs, sun light, light
reflectors, etc).
The camera should be installed in places protected against water, humidity and frost.
The respective protective cover should be used in case of outdoor installation.
Installation Directions
Make sure that cabling operations have been completed. Also, make sure that all the required
connection have been realized at the junction points and the cables are enough for the system
to be installed.
Make sure that the cross-section of the cables is not less than the one indicated in
the following table.
Distance in meters (m)
Cross section in mm
Up to 100 m 0,8
Up to 200 m 1,0
Up to 300 m 1,5
Make sure that the power supply equipment is not connected to the network.
Once the installation is complete, check whether the receivers of all inphones are on hook
and connect the supply after you are certified that the network voltage is correct.
Installation Instructions
BUS-SYSTEM
Line network
Two common weak current
telecommunication lines may be used for
the CTC-Duo Plus Bus system, such as
J-Y (St) Y.
The power lines have to be routed in
accordance with the standing specifications.
Heavy and weak current line need to be
routed separately.
A minimum distance of 10 cm has to be
maintained from the heavy current lines.
The power supply to the Bus- guidance
board passes through the VT 12 network
transformer.
The VT 12 transformer has to be connected
by means of a separate 10 A safety switch.
The installation of electronic appliances
should only be performed by a specialised
electrician.
Caution:
When installation of the CTC-Duo-PLUS Bus
system is effected on an existing line network
(e.g. installation of door bells), it will have to
ensured that the lines are free from any
foreign voltage.
Line resistance should not exceed 600 Ohm.
The theoretic line length values resulting for
a mean copper cable thickness of 0,6 mm
exceed 4,5 km.
A BTU Bus entry selector, a BSP 16
central unit and a VT 12 network
transformer will be required for each
additional substation.
Programming and operation
Programming is basically taking place through the transposition of
the jumpers at the HT 522 inphone.
The BSP 16 Bus central unit offers the ability to change the
duration of response of the door opening switch from 3 to 5
seconds.
(1) Set in operation in 5 seconds.
The TLR 550M Bus loudspeaker module is installed within the
keypad box (2).
Bus line (3) is installed at terminals a+b.
The entry substations are installed at the BR terminals (4)
Accordingly to the needs, where the busy indication may be guided
over the terminal (5) to the exterior (optional).
The contacts of the door opening and additional function switches
should not be connected to the 230V network voltage
Maximum connection output 30 Watt or 60 VA at 12 V=/~.
As an option, you may install the MDK 12-key keypad
(connection 10).
The only thing remaining is to program the HT 522 Bus
inphones according to the binary code, through the
installation of the jumpers.
Following the call from the doorstation, the call receiver has
approximately 30 seconds to lift the receiver, otherwise the call
will have to be repeated.
Communication is interrupted automatically after 45 seconds
approximately.
Important instructions !
The receiver will have to be on hook during the call by the
doorstation.
If this is not the case, there could be misinterpretation especially
during the activation of the appliance.
This function aims at preventing sounds from the door when the
receiver is not properly set on hook.
The floor key line should be installed at a minimum distance of 3
meters away from the Bus line. Floor key line polarity (terminals 3
and 4) should not be crossed at a parallel connection of two
inphones.
CAUTION!
The connection between BSP 16 and BTU should be effected observing the
correct polarity. However, polarity may not be observed between BTU and
HT 522 (polarity safety).
! An individual transformer is
required for each doorstation.
A BTU audio selector is required for every additional doorstation.
Each internal doorstation (master) may be linked to up to 9 additional
doorstations (slave).
Due to the coded keypad , the BTU returns the BUS line
to the respective doorstation.
As long as this is activated, all the remaining doorstations will be shut off.
The red LED of the entrance speech element indicates the busy status.
The system is free for all doorstations, as soon as:
- 30 seconds have passed from the moment the receiver was unhooked.
- the receiver is back on hook, or the latest after 45 seconds.
Each doorstation forms an integrated unit.
Installation
The TLT 06 will only have to be installed in the absence of voltage.
The modules are initially installed to the modules frame,
the mail box system or the free column, the by means of holding frames.
The individual doorbell keys may then be connected (see diagram to the right).
The entire TLT 06…/ doorstation is delivered with the
required cables. The connection cable between TLT 06 and
the buttons through the columns strip up until the required button.
Special care should be given to the proper allocation of the
conductors. The common conductor for all buttons is coloured.
Thereafter, follows the a/b connection to an analogue connection of the
telephone installation. The different functions are loaded
during the initial operation and the beep sounds are produced
at the doorstation. This process may last up to 3 minutes,
depending on the TS-installation used. Programming
may follow after this initial process.
Every time a successful connection, with the telephone installation
is achieved, the red LED is at the speech element turns on.
Operation
Following the activation of a button (for a minimum duration of
0,5 seconds), the memory stored number is called by means
of a tone sound /MFV*.
A speech connection is established upon unhooking of the
phone device. If there is no response from the internal
telephone device, the TLT 06 is automatically shut off following
a number of calling cycles. The device is also shut off in case
of a busy tone detection. A successful conversation is
maintained for approximately 1,5 minutes.
A beep sound is produced 10 seconds before the lapse of this period
and the duration may then be prolonged by 30 seconds each time by
Pressing the (#) key.
If used, the door opening may be activated during a
conversation with the use of the (00) key combination. Access
to the door opening function may also be protected by means
of a PIN number (see programming). The door opening switch
is supplied separately. The TLT06 comprises a performance switch.
After pressing the key, the door opening switch is set in operation
for 3 seconds.
TLT 06 Programming
PROGRAMMING
Programming requires a telephone with the usual
12 keys (0…9, *, #) and tone calling (MVF).
Protection against non permissible intervention is
ensured through the use of a personal PIN number
for access to the programming mode. It is
advisable that you change the factory settings and
maintain the documents including the new pin
number at a safe place.
6 memory positions are available for the calling
numbers with a maximum of 32 digits (N1, N2,…),
namely, special signals for each memory position.
Memory positions correspond to the respective
buttons (see wiring diagram).
As soon as speech contact has been established,
the door opening switch may be activated by
pressing (00) or optionally by entering the new PIN
code.
Depending on the use, the special signals are
stored into the memory along with the calling
numbers.
Connection / Operation of TLT 12
“The doorstation type telephone”
The main difference lies on the receiver. Opening and closing is
effected electronically.
Installation
TLT 12 is installed only in the absence of voltage. The two
components, the entrance module and the 12 key module, are
initially installed to the mail box installation or the free column
by means of a fixed frame. Both modules are connected to the
flat cable, observing the polarity. The a/b connection is then
restored by means of an analogue telephone installation
connection. The different functions are loaded during the initial
operation and the beep sounds are produced at the doorstation.
This process lasts approximately 3 min and depends on
the TS installation being used. Programming may be effected by
following this initial process. The red LED of the speech module
is turned on as soon as the connection to the telephone installation
is established.
The TLT12 comprises a entrance speech element and
a 12-key element.
Description of operation
Outgoing call
Dialing of the calling numbers is done just as in the case of the common
telephone by means of the 12 keys (maximum entering time=10 seconds).
The speech connection is effected right after hooking off the receiver of the
device being called. If there is no response from the point being called, the
TLT 12 shuts off automatically following a few ringing cycles.
The device also switches off automatically in case of detection of a busy
signal.
Incoming call
The TLT 12 may be called directly from an internal device by means of the
calling number of the internal telephone installation. Speech is automatically
restored following two calling tones.
Parameters
The maximum duration of a conversation having been established is 4
minutes. A beep sound is produced 10 seconds before the lapse of this period
and the duration may then be prolonged by 30 seconds each time by pressing
the (#) key.
Door opening
The door opening may be activated by the use of a code combination (00,
changeable) pressed during a connection, by means of an integrated
performance switch. The operating mode lasts from 1 to 6 seconds.
Code locking (additional function)
The 12-key keypad of the doorstation may also be used for code locking.
Entry to the code locking module is effected by means of the (*) key. A 2-6
digit code activates the performance switch and the function being connected
to it (e.g. door opening). The pause between digits should not exceed 3
seconds. A new entry delayed by 10 seconds may follow the wrong or
incomplete entry (followed by a “beep” tone).
The TLT12 is blocked for 1 minute following 3 wrong entries.
Programming
Programming and operation requires a telephone device
with the usual 12 keys (0…9, *, #) and tone calling
(MVF).
The TLT 12 is ready for use right after delivery,
without changing any of the original settings.
Protection against non permissible intervention with the
use of a PIN number for entry to the programming mode.
It is advisable that the factory setting be changed and the
documents including the new code be maintained at a
safe place.
The door opening function code consists of two digits from
0 to 9. The function duration may be programmed between
1 to 6 seconds.
The duration of the connection may be set between 30
seconds and 4 minutes.
The locking code number consists of 2 to 6 digits.
The device is delivered with the code locking activated
according to the factory setting (00).
