The ypsID SmartReader range comprises contact and contactless
smart card readers. The ypsID SmartReader Desktop
reader is ideal for all operations based on contact smart
cards, such as logical access control, authentication and
digital signature.
ypsID SmartReader PCMCIA was specially designed for
mobile use. It‘s an easy-to-install PCMCIA card reader,
particularly suited to laptop users.

based on biometric authentication, Morpho e-Documents
has created the ypsID BioReader range. ypsID
BioReaders are multifactor authentication devices combining
digital fingerprint and smart card reading technology.
These readers are specially designed to meet logical
access control requirements in highly secure applications
in industry, companies and the public service. They can be
used to register, authenticate and identify users.
The integrated smart card reader of ypsID BioReader 1350
is a solution combining the fast and secure processing of
high resolution digital signature images with integrated
match-on-card (MoC) functions guaranteeing the faultless
protection of information.

The ypsID BioReader range is based on Morpho’s 25 years
of experience (global market leader in biometrics) in the
fields of electro-optics and forensic quality fingerprint processing
algorithms. The sensors guide the user during
enrollment to obtain the best possible images. The embedded
microprocessor provides rapid fingerprint image capture
and analysis, allowing truly instant recognition for the
workstation.
Morpho has developed the best match-on-card authentication
in the world to provide biometric readers offering
the best balance between ergonomics and security.
Onboard matching means the user’s biometric reference
data never leaves the smart card, allowing large biometric
deployment to match the strictest privacy requirements.
Morpho goes further by offering its direct reader/card
authentication technology: Direct-to-card. Data is transferred
in a secure encrypted way, directly from ypsID
BioReader to the smart card, without going through the
computer. So data never goes beyond the reader’s physical
boundaries.

Morpho e-Documents also offers ypsID BioReader 1300
and 1350 which both have a fast and cost-effective optical
sensor, guaranteeing excellent fingerprint capture and
verification performance.
