Hamworthy’s rig tensioning compressors and heave compensation
compressor packages are fully integrated, lightweight, compact and
engineered for the offshore environment.
Hamworthy 4SW80 and 4SW140 combine a 4 stage compressor,
air dryer and filtration package with a contained cooling system,
producing dry, filtered, high pressure air/gas suitable for riser
tensioning and offshore applications worldwide.

4 Condensate blow down receiver/silencer with automatic drain
4 Air pressure system control switch

4 Refridge dryer giving a 37°F/+3°C dewpoint
4 Cooling pack fitted with shell and tube heat exchanger
4 Resilient mounts fitted to skid with flexible hoses provided
4 Sequence selector panel for lead/lag situations
4 Direct cooling from central circuit
Skid Design
The base is an open frame modular design with a major base
supporting the compressor and motor and a sub baseplate supporting
the cooling pack and dryer. The bases are bolted together and all
services are fully integrated.
Classification
Units are tested and fully assembled ready for installation. The module
meets the requirements of the major marine classification societies.
Starter/controller
The starter controller provides a fully automatic control via a
combined starter/control panel. Fitted with a PLC and operator
interface which monitors the performance of the compressor. The
following functions are monitored and displayed.

Using the optional sequence selector panel multiple machines can be
linked together to provide a lead/lag situation.
