hired by Sanford Emergency Trauma<br />
Center in Bismarck.<br />
Joshua Ranum, MD ’08, recently joined West River Health<br />
Services as an internal medicine physician. He serves clinics in<br />
Hettinger and Mott, N.Dak., and in Lemmon, S.Dak.<br />
Stacy Roers Irmen, MD ’08, is now practicing family medicine<br />
at Altru Health System in Grand Forks.<br />
Jill Steinle, MD ’08, recently joined the OB/GYN department at<br />
Mid <strong>Dakota</strong> Clinic in Bismarck. Steinle is a member of the<br />
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.<br />
Matthew Voigt, MD ’08, has joined St. Alexius Heart and Lung<br />
Clinic in Bismarck as an anesthesiologist. He is experienced in<br />
general anesthesia and ultrasound guided regional anesthesia, as<br />
well as obstetric, orthopedic, and cardiac anesthesia. He is board<br />
eligible in anesthesiology.<br />
Aaron Chalmers, MD ’07, has joined Mid <strong>Dakota</strong> Clinic in<br />
Bismarck in the surgery department. Chalmers is a member of<br />
the American College of Surgeons, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor<br />
Medical Society, and the <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> Medical Association.<br />
Loren E. Wold, PhD ’03 Physiology, of Nationwide Children’s<br />
Hospital appointed editor-in-chief of Life Sciences. Dr. Wold is a<br />
tenured associate professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State<br />
University (OSU) College of <strong>Medicine</strong>. He is also an<br />
Investigator in the Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research<br />
Institute, and an adjunct associate professor in the Department<br />
of Physiology and Cell Biology at OSU. Wold’s National<br />
Institutes of Health and American Heart Association funded<br />
research program focuses on the effects of environmental<br />
triggers of disease, particularly heart disease.<br />
Debra Geier, MD ’01, was elected<br />
secretary-treasurer of the <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong><br />
Medical Association during its 125th<br />
annual meeting in Bismarck. Geier<br />
practices internal medicine at Sanford<br />
Health in Jamestown.<br />
Matthew Sanford, MD ’01, recently joined Sanford Bemidji<br />
Main Clinic in the radiology department. Sanford is boardcertified<br />
by the American Board of Radiology.<br />
Tanya Skager, MD ’01, was honored<br />
with the Dickinson State University<br />
Young Hawk Award. The award is<br />
presented annually by DSU Alumni and<br />
the Foundation. It recognizes graduates<br />
of DSU who have distinguished<br />
themselves in their personal and<br />
professional lives. She is currently a<br />
family medicine physician at Sanford<br />
Health Dickinson Clinic.<br />
