Group Visits<br />

Guided tours of the house and gardens are available for<br />

groups of 15 or more, at a cost of £1.50 per head.<br />

Accessibility<br />

<strong>The</strong> gardens, ground floor of the house, cafe , barn and<br />

courtyard area are all accessible. Sensory tours available by<br />

prior arrangement, braille guides available, assistance dogs<br />

welcome. Access aids include loan wheelchairs, dedicated<br />

disabled toilet and ramps where necessary.<br />

Refreshments<br />

<strong>The</strong>re is a licensed cafe on site and you are welcome to<br />

bring a picnic to eat in the gardens.<br />

Dovecote Gift Shop<br />

A range of gifts, souvenirs, books and plants is available.<br />

Fishing<br />

Day tickets are available at £8.00 to fish the moat between<br />

16th June & 14th March. Stock includes carp, pike and<br />

tench.<br />

Dogs<br />

Assistance dogs are welcome at all times. However, other<br />

dogs are only permitted in the grounds on the weekend of<br />

the Game & Country Fair.<br />

Ample free parking, near the house, for coaches and cars.<br />

England’s longest water filled moat surrounds the site which dates back to 1229.<br />

Find out about Michelham’s fascinating 800 year history, from its foundation by Augustinian canons, through the<br />
