The AquaPRO Series of instruments allow for fast and easy measurement of the 

most important pool water quality parameters. 

The instruments in the AquaPRO Series produces result equivalent to a 

laboratory grade spectrophotometer right at poolside! They utilize long shelf life 

tablet reagents. 

Test data for 16 data sets (including date and time of test) can be stored in the 

unit’s internal memory and then downloaded to a laptop or PC using the available 

IRiM infrared data transfer module. 

The AquaPRO3 and AquaPRO6 are waterproof and feature a large indigo blue 

backlight for use in low level light conditions. 

The instrument comes with all required items for testing including the Photometer, 

sample cells, batteries, operator’s manual, and carrying case.

The IRiM uses state-of-the-art infrared technology to transmit data from the AquaPRO3, 

AquaPRO6 or MC500 to one of 3 optional interfaces. Users can choose to connect to a 

computer, a USB printer or a serial printer. The interface can be easily selected, and the 

choice is displayed by an LED function indicator. The user can switch between the 

interfaces using a "Select" button. 

The IRiM comes with the software necessary to begin quickly and easily transferring data 

to your computer. As an option, the data can be saved as an Excel spreadsheet or a .txt 

file. Measurement data can quickly be printed out, using a specified USB or serial printer 

connected to the IRiM.

The MC500 Multi-Parameter Colorimeter is an extremely versatile instrument which 

tests for a wide range of water quality parameters from Alkalinity to Zinc, and its 

compact size makes it perfect for poolside testing. 

Using Orbeco-Hellige‘s “Open Reagent System“ (which uses tablets, Powder Pack, 

liquid, and ampoule reagents), the MC500 features an industry-leading 6 LED 

photodetector array that allows the instrument to conduct over 40 pre-programmed 

test methods and over 20 user defined methods. 

A convenient “User favorites menu“ allows easy access to most commonly used 

testing methods. As new methods and parameters become available, users can 

download the updates from our website. 

Up to 1,000 data sets can be stored in the instrument‘s internal memory and 

transferred to a computer using the Orbeco-Hellige‘s Infrared Interface Module, the

Designed with the Pool Professional in mind, the 

Pool Control 9 multi-parameter photometer caters to the 

full-range of your water testing needs. 

Using twin-beam technology (see diagram), the PC9 is 

designed to provide accurate, reliable, and consistent results 

while being extremely easy to use. 

With this instrument, a light beam is generated by one of 3 

LEDs and fine-tuned through an interference filter. The light 

beam is split by a semi-transparent mirror into a 

measurement beam and a reference beam. 

The intensity of these two beams is measured by two 

different photo detectors, and the extremely accurate 

measurement is derived by calculating the difference of 

intensity between the two beams.

Scuba Series 

The Scuba TM is an electronic, state-of-the-art pool tester. A sample of the water is examined 

using colorimetric methods and the results are shown in the high-precision digital display. 

The unit has a rugged housing designed to be easy to hold (even with wet hands!) and is fully 

waterproof. 

The Scuba is available in three different versions, the Scuba, Scuba + and the Scuba-Alk. Please

Specifications 

The TB200 TM Portable Turbidimeter from Orbeco-Hellige allows fast and 

easy poolside turbidity measurement. 

Measuring the turbidity of pool water is a high-tech method of 

determining the performance of a filtration system. 

Using a “white light” source and 90° detection, the TB200 meets the USEPA 

specifications for turbidity measurement (EPA Standard 180.1). 

The instrument features an auto-ranging function that automatically 

selects the correct turbidity range for your sample. Calibration is simple 

with the included calibration standards. 

A power efficient microcircuit design allows the instrument to yield 5,000

MINIKITS 

The MINIKITS are designed for rapid water testing. Most of the 

MINIKITS are based on titrimetric methods. 

Extremely easy to use, and available for a wide variety of testing 

parameters, the MINIKITS utilize tablet reagent that deliver 

an exact dosing, making them more accurate and easier to use 

than traditional liquid drop tests.

Tablet Count Method: 

In the tablet count method, the liquid titration solution and 

indicator are replaced by Orbeco-Hellige tablet reagents. A 

specified number of tablets are added to a defined sample 

volume until a chemically induced color change takes place. The 

concentration of the parameter being measured is calculated 

from the number of tablets required. The measuring range can 

be expanded by varying the sample volume. 

Speed Test: 

The speed test is based on reverse titration. After adding a 

reagent tablet to a calibrated test tube, the water sample is 

added slowly until the color of the solution changes (i.e. from red 

to blue). The user can then read the result of the liquid level. 

Turbidity Method: 

A two-section calibrated tube is filled with sample and a reagent 

tablet is added. The reagent creates a level of turbidity that 

is proportional to the concentration of the parameter being 

measured. The inner tube, which has a black dot on its base, is 

lowered until the dot is obscured by the turbidity. The result is 

read from the water level in the inner tube.

Tablet Reagents 


Foil packaged test tablets remain the most consistent and reliable 

reagent delivery system available, consistently outperforming other 

reagent formats, and delivering unbeatable accuracy for the user. 

Now with our new aluminum foil “blister” packaging we have improved 

even further on this highly successful format. The new “foil blister” format, 

long established in pharmaceutical applications, brings added 

convenience. The user now just has to push the tablet through the 

protective foil, straight in to the water sample.
