Correctly understood product competence is not limited to the fabrication process. It also
includes knowledge of the correct tooling and use of the product, knowledge of efficient
working processes in orthopaedic workshops and knowledge of advanced production
techniques. The range of our core products (machines, equipment, installation items, tools)
and services thus also includes planning orthopaedic workshops with the intention of optimizing
the performance of these craft oriented operations.
Otto Bock has been advising orthopaedic specialists for 40 years. In more than 1,500 projects
domestically and abroad, the company has been using its extensive know-how to plan
and equip workshops to benefit orthopaedic technicians and their patients. Our new catalogue
“Consulting, Planning and Equipping 2008” provides information about machines,
devices, items of equipment and tools that are necessary for providing high-quality orthopaedic
products. For easier access to the information, we have organized the catalogue
into 19 sections based on technical criteria. The table of contents provides quick orientation
and shows at a glance where which product can be found. The List of Key Words,
which lists all item names in alphabetical order, as well as the Index, which lists products
by article number, can be used to selectively locate individual items.
Chapter 1 “Consulting, Planning and Equipping with Planning Examples and Room Concepts”
provides examples of how an orthopaedic workshop can be set up, as well as examples
of projects which have already been put into place. To make ordering from Otto
Bock as easy as possible, we have added useful information concerning the ordering process
as well as ordering examples and order forms.
