use a HETAS registered installer, which is our industry’s equivalent of CORGI.
Scotland has its own scheme which is also recognised by HETAS. You can find
a local installer at www.hetas.co.uk. Most installations of wood burning and
multi fuel stoves and systems are subject to the requirements of local building
regulations and by law are notifiable to your local authority. HETAS registered
installers can self-certificate their work thus avoiding the need for costly and
time consuming building notice applications.
