Corporate Plan
2012 -2017 (Updated 2013)
Risk
Glossary
We need to recognise and understand the risks to
delivering the Academy’s core outputs and take
timely steps to mitigate them. The principal risks
to the delivery of this plan are managed through
the Academy Joint Risk Register.
The key risks identified are:
Personnel
Redundancy and the Voluntary Early Release
Scheme coupled with uncertainty could result
in insufficient people with the right skills or
motivation to deliver customer agreed output
requirements.
Resources
Insufficient resources either through departmental
budgetary cuts or direction to take on a new
capability without additional resource will result
in inadequate infrastructure, syllabus support or
teaching staff which will have an impact on our
ability to meet agreed output requirements.
Current and relevant T&E
The Academy’s products do not remain current
in line with the changing requirements of
Defence and we are seen as out of touch, leading
to a decline in the Academy’s reputation and
reluctance on the part of stakeholders to use the
Academy for their future requirements.
Adaptability
Inflexible contracting arrangements, processes
and procedures and an inability to invest in new
infrastructure might mean that we are unable to
adapt to changing stakeholder requirements or
move to new delivery methods.
