FTAA Negotiations on Agriculture
Objectives of the Negotiations:
• progressive elimination of all tariffs and non tariff
barriers and other measures that restrict trade;
• all tariffs subject to negotiation with different trade
liberalization timetables may be negotiated;
• facilitate integration of smaller economies and their full
participation in negotiations.
• Issues of rules of origin, customs procedures, and
Technical Barriers to Trade shall be addressed in the
Market Access negotiating group.
