<strong>How</strong> To <strong>Book</strong> <strong>an</strong> <strong>Appointment</strong> in X Wave<br />

1. To begin, open the Scheduling but<strong>to</strong>n from the main menu. ‘Open Schedule’ window will pop<br />

up. Select schedule from the drop down menu.<br />

2. The Schedule will appear. You c<strong>an</strong> select Weekly or Daily views by clicking the appropriate<br />

but<strong>to</strong>ns highlighted in red in Figure<br />

3. To add a new appointment, double click the slot you would like <strong>to</strong> book <strong>to</strong> bring up the Find<br />

Patient menu (Figure 2).<br />

4. Use this menu <strong>to</strong> find the appropriate patient <strong>an</strong>d click OK. If there is <strong>an</strong> unresolved appointment<br />

(ex. A follow up from a previous issue), a prompt will show up asking you if you are booking the<br />

follow up, or a completely unrelated appointment (Figure 3). Select the appropriate response.<br />

5. From here, you c<strong>an</strong> edit the specifics of the appointment such as the location/room number,<br />

responsible physici<strong>an</strong>, date, time, type etc. (Figure 4). Once you are satisfied with the<br />

appointment settings, click Ok.<br />

6. The patient is now booked. You c<strong>an</strong> hover over the slot for quick details on the visit. (Figure 5)<br />

7. You c<strong>an</strong> ch<strong>an</strong>ge the status of the patient by right clicking on the slot <strong>an</strong>d selecting “Status”. You<br />

c<strong>an</strong> also open patient’s chart by clicking ‘Open Chart’.<br />
