Purpose: Sampling Protocol • Supply set of guidelines on how to obtain samples of acceptable standard and handle samples when obtained • Guidelines are used to draw up suitable customer specific SOP’s • SOP’s should cover the following on samples: • Collection (apparatus, size, method, etc.) • ID (number, name, date, etc.) • Handling • Storage (conditions, location, etc.) • Minimise disputes/claims on animal feeds based on analytical outcome that does not represent real product • AFMA determines acceptable methods of analysis and lists them on website
