Principals’ Qualification Program
At OISE, the Principals’ Qualification Program – Parts 1 and 2 – are based on two key elements:
• It is a challenging program which is provincially approved and academically rich. The program offers
small study groups facilitated by exemplary elementary and secondary school principals who represent
both the Catholic and Public School Boards in Ontario.
• The OISE PQP links candidates to current research, research analyses and best practices for meaningful
school improvement while creating Ontario-wide collegial networks for the future. The PQP embodies
the thinking of world-renowned educators such as Michael Fullan, Kenneth Leithwood, Blair Mascall,
Steven Katz and Lorna Earl, among others. Candidates can enroll in the Principals’ Qualification
Program through the Continuing Education Office at OISE.
