Flammable Items Compressed Gases Weapons/Explosives Restricted items to harm passengers or damage the aircraft It is strictly prohibited to carry any torch lighters on all flights to/ from the United States according to U.S. security laws. It is strictly prohibited to carry any lighters and/or matches on all flights from China in accordance with Civil Aviation Administration of China’s security laws. Fragile or perishable items, cash, jewelry, securities or other valuables, valuable samples or business documents, personal medicines or electronic goods (laptop computers, cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, etc.)cannot be transported as checked baggage. Please carry these items with you at all times. All the baggage-related matters are subject to Korean Air’s Conditions of Carriage or Tariffs including limitations of liability. Booking Class Booking classes are assigned according to the fare paid when purchasing a ticket. When changing a reservation, a passenger is required to stick to the booking class on the ticket. If the booking classes are different between in reservation and on the ticket, the passenger holding such a ticket may be denied boarding or be subject to pay additional charges. Ticketing Time Limit All international passengers are requested to purchase tickets within the ticketing time limit. Failure to do so will result in automatically cancelled reservation. If the passenger has a previously issued ticket, the original ticket number must be provided to the agent when making a reservation. Reservation Cancellation/No-show, Duplicate Booking If travel plans change, please contact our office and our agents will reschedule flights. A no-show without prior notice may result in the cancellation of the onward or return flight reservation. When Passenger makes duplicate reservations under the same name for the same section of routes, a part of passenger’s reservation will result in cancellation without prior notice. Contact Phone Numbers When making a reservation, it is recommended that passengers advise agents of their e-mail address or telephone numbers at each stopover in their itinerary. This is in case Korean Air needs to contact the travelers about possible schedule changes.
Guide on Security of Reservation Information Your reservation number allows the access to your confidential information which you may not wish to disclose to other parties. To secure and protect your privacy, it is recommended that you refrain from providing your reservation number to others. Select your own reservation number For your convenience, you can select a reservation number of your choice for your future travel. Please ask our agent for assistance. However, please note that your preferred number may not be assigned if it is already in use. Check-in counters at most airports close 40minutes(1 hour in case of departing from USA, Europe, Middle East, and Africa airports) prior to scheduled flight departure time, and it is recommended you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before scheduled departure time in order to complete check-in, security, customs and immigration formalities before boarding. Check-in closing time may vary with a code-share flight according to the regulations of the operating carrier. As a general rule, passengers are not allowed to bring and consume personal food items on board the aircraft because it can spoil during the flight, may cause health/hygiene problems, and the noise and odor of the food may disturb the surrounding passengers. However, passengers may bring and consume personal food items that meet the following conditions on board the aircraft: Food items that are individually packaged, and products that are ready-made which do not spoil easily. Also, food items that do not emit any odor, as such items may disturb the surrounding passengers. - Food items permitted on board the aircraft include snack products such as chips, crackers, chocolate, candy, etc. - Foods items not permitted on board the aircraft include Hamburgers / sandwiches / Kimbab (odor, perishable), cup noodle (odor), kimchi/canned side-dishes (odor), cakes that require cold-storage (perishable), etc. Hot water is provided upon request for the purpose of heating/preparing baby food, liquid formula, or powdered formula for infants.
