any ultrasound practitioner who is starting or<br />

wishes to improve their knowledge on <strong>DVT</strong><br />

scanning. The technique for scanning arms, legs,<br />

calf and iliac veins will be covered.<br />

IMPORTANT: Please note this is an advance<br />

registration event and will not be open as a<br />

workshop during the <strong>Ultrasound</strong> 2012 conference<br />

to delegates unless pre‐registered separately.<br />

anatomy‐ examining salivary glands, thyroid & lymph nodes<br />

followed by a short presentation on common pathogens.<br />

Tired scanning and listening to lectures<br />

Take a stroll around/visit our<br />

Hub of <strong>Ultrasound</strong> 2012 ‐ the exhibition will be open on<br />

all three days of the conference from 9:00 ‐ 17:00 with<br />

tea/coffee facilities and free wifi access throughout the<br />

conference.<br />

Science fair ‐ Hands‐on exhibits demonstrating<br />

ultrasound safety, bio effects and a range of phantoms and<br />

test objects. You also have the opportunity to vote on<br />

‘what makes a good ultrasound image’. The science fair is<br />

also open on all three days of the conference.<br />

Scientific poster session ‐ an opportunity for you to<br />

mingle and talk to poster authors. Our judges will tour the<br />

posters to select three winners which will be announced<br />

at our conference dinner.<br />
