NOWERS, LAMB & AMOS - Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

They had three children:
1. Robert Eric (1927 - ) married to Shirley Joan Amos (1931 - )
2. Second son (stillborn) – buried in Fairview Cemetery.
3. Daughter – Barbara Isabel (1934 - ) married to Carlo Bellon (1937 - )
Amos, Percy Charles (1900 – 1976)
Percy was born in Trealaw, South Wales and came to Niagara Falls in 1930, with his wife
Gladys and two children – Don and Hazel. Shirley was born in Niagara Falls in 1931.
Percy retired as kiln foreman in 1969 from the Canadian Ohio Brass Co. Ltd., after forty
years with that firm. He was also a Stamford Volunteer Fireman.
Percy’s wife, Gladys Evelyn Bunston (1898 – 1982) was born in Cardiff, South Wales,
U.K. They were married fifty-five years. Both loved to sing, and had very nice singing
voices. They are buried in Fairview, Section 5, Plot 220.
They had three children:
1. Donald George (1920 – 1996) was born in South Wales, U.K. He was an
employee of the North American Cyanamid, and a Professional Musician. He
married Pearl Georgina Margaret Currie (1921 – 1979) “Pudge” was born in
Canada. They are both buried in Fairview, Section 7, Plot 171.
2. Hazel Gertrude Elizabeth (1924 – 1999) was born in South Wales, U.K. She
was a Secretary at the Canadian Ramapo Iron Works Ltd. and later operated
Stevenson’s Stationery Store at the Stamford Green Plaza. Hazel was a very
active worker at Christ Church. Hazel married John “Jack” Straiton Stevenson
(1920 - ). Hazel is buried in Fairview, Section 0, Plot 767.
3. Shirley Joan (1931 - ) married Robert Eric Lamb (1927 - ). Shirley was born in
Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Gladys Amos’s sister, Lily Ann Bunston, is also buried in Fairview, Section 4, Plot 679.
Lily Ann Bunston (1889 – 1980) married William Findlay (1889 – 1944). They had
four daughters:
1. Irene Hoffman (1913 – 1935) – husband Earl Section 3A, Plot 111
2. Vera Biggar (1918 – 1988) – husband Hue Vincent Section 9, Plot 286
3. Elsie Symonds (1916 – 2007) – husband Philip Section 9, Plot 287
4. Norma O’Neil (1929 - ) – husband Raymond – (died in 1980).
Also many cousins….mostly in the name of Bunston, but we won’t carry this that far.
