LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator
LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES
Motion detection can be made for objects up to 20-30 m. This is dictated by and dependent on
the environment in which the motion occurs. Some materials are impenetrable by ALL radio wave
signals so depth of detection is determined by the environment. The LEADER SEARCH Radar
Life Locator system is quite capable of meeting or exceeding this 10 m detection when normally
demonstrated through a concrete wall.
LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator can detect life activities which are normally associated with
breathing and/or related regular motions and activities.
The detection range can be up to 10 m.
The LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator system will penetrate an inverted cone shape of
ground, at a 45 degree angle to the surface. This is the primary zone for detection, but the
LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator will see invariably at broader angles in many situations.
The detection volume assumes that the penetration into the material is adequate to get outside
the 10 m range. If so, the LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator will see in excess of 120 cubic
metres.
In addition, the LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator has a range of detection cycles. In order to
understand the nature of motion detection in a rescue situation it is important to know that there
will be some false alarms or times when the victim is not creating motion. LEADER SEARCH
Radar Life Locator uses a statistical approach to assessing repeatability and reliability of an
indication. As a result, cycle time can be adjusted from 15 seconds through to 180 seconds i.e. 3
minutes, depending on the mode of operation.
LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator range for Wi-Fi :
Normal operation has been achieved to a distance in excess of 50 m.
Note: Wireless range is also dependent on the ambient conditions in the area. Extraneous
interference from other Wi-Fi devices etc. may limit range but normally LEADER SEARCH Radar
Life Locator is immune to even the most dense of operation. Concurrent operation of numerous
LEADER SEARCH Radar Life Locator devices in close proximity has not degraded range
performance.
