The College of International Education (CIE) offers the <strong>Associate</strong><br />
<strong>Degree</strong> <strong>Programme</strong> and other post-secondary educational<br />
programmes to serve the diversified needs of students. Through<br />
the broad-based and innovative curricula, the CIE aims to develop<br />
the full range of abilities of students and equip them either<br />
for employment or for continued studies in local or overseas<br />
universities. Articulation network with universities in Australia,<br />
Canada, New Zealand, the United States and the United<br />
Kingdom has been established for students to continue their final<br />
two years of undergraduate studies.<br />
associate degree <strong>Programme</strong><br />
The Assoicate <strong>Degree</strong> <strong>Programme</strong> is a 65-unit programme which<br />
normally requires two-year full-time studies. The curriculum is<br />
designed to provide students with a broad-based education as<br />
well as concentrations in one or two disciplines. It is hoped that<br />
the general education component can broaden students’ horizon<br />
while the concentrated element mandates some depth in students’<br />
academic pursuit. Upon successful completion of the programme,<br />
students will be awarded the <strong>Associate</strong> of Arts or <strong>Associate</strong> of<br />
Science.<br />
Aim<br />
The overall aim is to provide post-secondary students with a fulltime<br />
education opportunity to acquire a broad-based general<br />
education in preparation for employment or further studies<br />
overseas and locally. At present, the College has articulation<br />
agreements with 28 overseas universities which <strong>Associate</strong> <strong>Degree</strong><br />
holders can apply for direct admission. The programme also aims<br />
at enhancing the quality of life of students through the pursuit of<br />
learning and the development of their potentials.<br />
Structure<br />
The curriculum is designed to provide students with a broad-based<br />
education as well as concentration in one or two disciplines or<br />
knowledge areas. It also includes a wide spectrum of endeavours<br />
and options for students to enrich their learning experiences for<br />
employment in a variety of careers and for continued specialized<br />
studies. Students should complete a minimum of 65 units in the<br />

Aim<br />
The curriculum aims at providing students with an education<br />
which has a proper balance of breadth and depth in the<br />
accounting discipline and preparing them for their future career<br />
in accounting or accounting-related areas or further studies. It is<br />
designed to combine a substantial element of general education, a<br />
wide selection of business courses, as well as vigorous emphasis in<br />
